The problem seems to be that he's not in the squad and Alex Bruce is. I think he's made up his mind to go. I don't know if he lost his temper and said something but all the Mirror article and the Tweet say to me is "I'm available" and I don't blame him for that he wants to play regularly. At present all the cards are in his hands. Whether a manager should have let him have that advantage is another matter.
Mcshane was dropped for Dawson after Burnley. Not Alex Bruce, thats why he had the strop. He thinks he's better than he is. But you just carry on with your smarmy insinuating posts. Why if i was a little more cynical I would think you and a few other CI cronies are trying to de stabilise the club with these constant digs about our manager and his supposed bias.
The fact that McShane has to apologise to both the manager and the squad says it all. Time to put up or shut up Macca - Your choice.!!!! Gosh it muct be Xmas. I agree with ^^^^^ this.!!!!!
I'd be surprised if McShane apologises, his time with Hull City is over. He has put up, he wants out to play football in return for his pay cheque, not be fifth choice behind Alex Bruce.
You must remember too that McShane needs game time if he is ever to relaunch his International career - he is not even making the ROI provisional squad. Playing in PL or top end of Championship is needed to be noticed according to Quinniesta - Keane was there last weekend to run his eye over possibilities but Macca is not even making the bench, so you can see his frustration on that front. Maybe Keane was looking at Davies (and maybe trying to lure Shelvey too).
He's 6th choice, and rightly so. Chester, Dawson, Davies, Bruce and Maguire are all better than him. He can **** right off if he wants to leave.
the stats say otherwise - Junior comes out the worst in the Prem for winning aerial challenges and almost the worst for his forward passing - the only reason the stats get him any pass success rate is because he constantly passes sideways along the back line or back to the keeper - anyone who thinks Junior is better than anyone in the Prem clearly doesn't understand football
did you see Maguire play at Lockeren - he was awful - which is why he's not been playing all season - which just goes to show that Brucie is acting like a **** - he says that Macca will be back in the squad if he says sorry - ie he's not picking the best team just because someone had a pop at him
Yeah, coz the GREAT managers like Sir Alex Ferguson would never do anything like that would they? They would never sacrifice short term gain in order to make a point?
McShane looks like he's definitely going. I think he'll be a sad loss. Somebody is going to walk away with a bargain as he's only got 5 or 6 months on his contract.
the great managers usually have a great team and can afford to make a point - when Brucie tries to be a great manager he hasn't got a great team and his stupid spats have seen us nosedive into the relegation zone which is not so great but just stupid
To those who are defending Mcshane why did he have to take to twitter? If he was this team player, this player that cared surely he would of kept quiet and thought of the team? Instead he has disrupted it even more. You all talk like Mcshane is the saviour when really he is fourth/fifth choice at best. Personally i would much rather us blood a player who is going to be at this club after the summer, Maguire is the future and Macca isn't so why the heck would you play Macca?
McShane isn't a saviour, he's leaving. He wasn't happy being behind Alex Bruce and decided not to sign the contract he was offered. He could have sat on his arse for another 3 years collecting his million or so a year but decided he wanted to play. He's leaving on his terms, more or less, and will take the good wishes of many City supporters with him. I don't know why he tweeted, but it burnt his bridges once and for all. He has a few weeks to wait and could be with a new club. Bruce would be mad to keep him and there will be a club that will take him. He works hard, gives 100% and for most of his time here has shown loyalty to the club. If he goes to Burnley then Boyd and Marney will both have told the manager what they'll get. I suspect he'd fit right in. If McShane didn't have a future with Hull City then you don't wait till he has 6 months on his contract before falling out with him. You sell when you're likely to get a good price for him. A centre back with Premier League and international experience will be a bargain for any club that picks him up in January or the summer. The final questions are, if he goes, do you replace him and if so how much would you spend on the replacement?
The club didnt fall out with him. The club offered him a new contract. He fell out with the club. Subtle I know, but he is not a victim here.
