I`m trying to look at this objectively as a football matter without clouding the issue with political affiliations or intelligence or anything else. He`s here to play football for SAFC. It`s his job.

When he first came I was expecting big things from him. Quick, beating defenders and getting crosses in. And, to begin with that`s what he did.

The problem then was that it didn`t take the opposition long to find his limitations and nullify his effectiveness.

The problem now is that he hasn`t been able to improve enough to give the opposition real problems.

I`m not actively looking to get rid, but, if a good offer came along I think I`d be inclined to take it.

That`s my view on it anyway.

Not even a good offer. We paid hardly anything for him and if we were to get around 2m i'd be more then happy. It could pay for Mavrias and i'm sure we'd save a little on wages.

That`s fair enough mate. I was trying to keep the subject football related rather than haggle over price.

Football wise - He is totally lacking. A 'one-trick pony' that has been right royally found out. Maybe we expected too much when he had a decent season after we bought him from Derry for only 350,000.

Not even a good squad player and too much twittering for my liking. He's up there with the Nile Ranger and Michael Chopra's of the semi-decent tweeting ****e football world!!

The decision not to wear a Poppy was disgraceful. My great grandfather came from Ireland to work in the North East was conscripted into the DLI and died back home in Hebburn from the effects of Mustard Gas (his young wife was left to bring up 4 kids alone) and that little ****er couldn't even honour his memory. He can go to Celtic if he wants to be caught up with the bigoted idiots. Our club Sunderland have no place for him.

He's divisive and frankly not up to the standards that Paolo and the fans need.

    get rid.

McClean meanwhile is a £2million target for Glasgow Celtic and is likely to be allowed to leave Sunderland by manager Paolo Di Canio. The former Derry City winger was a substitute in both games in Hong Kong and has been pushed even further out of favour following the summer arrival of Italy international Emanuele Giaccherini and Swedish teenager David Moberg Karlsson who can both play wide. Celtic have made an initial inquiry for the controversial Ireland midfielder who indicated in the summer he was unhappy with the Di Canio regime.
Di Canio sends N'Diaye out to Turkey on season-long loan after just six months at Sunderland......
COLIN YOUNG: Sunderland midfielder Alfred N’Diaye is the latest star to quit the Stadium of Light and he looks certain to be followed by Republic of Ireland international James McClean.

Don't care about his beliefs, he is more than entitled to them.

Do care about his ability & attitude, which is way short.

I do appreciate the impact he had initially and am grateful for that, but I hope this comes off.

He will destroy SPL full backs, as they are horse ****, and he will probably achieve a lifes dream playing for celtic, whilst turning us, and Derry, a tidy profit.

    Win/win/win.

I'd like to add that my dislike of the git has nowt to do with his beliefs. He made a big splash at Sunderland, with some very decent performances, but his tweeting and bitching at Trappatoni's Ireland selections smacks of someone with a very high opinion of himself. That he seems to dislike the PdC regime suggests he doesn't like the idea of hard work when it comes to fitness levels either. He's not going to be first choice and if Celtic want to pay us for him I'd bite their hands off.

...being told what to do. he thinks he's made it, he thinks he knows it all and is at least as good or better than his team mates. He's not and he needs to go as he has shown no capacity to improve or learn in the last 12-18 months.

On a purely footballing subject (which I think we should be judging him on alone) hes terrible and that's the only reason we should be selling him.

Agree or disagree with his political views is irrelevant and his views should be respected.

Problem is that as a professional he should act in a totally 100% manner when outside of the pitch. He is paid a bloody good wage to get on with it. We have and have had other Northern Irish players who have done this perfectly. To me is just as important and toe Di Canio it is too. (see: Bardsley)

Sess is the one player I want to stay, he says he is happy, N'dye being loaned out is a strange one though, but we have Larsson, Karlsson, Ba, Garinccherini, Johnson ,Roberge, Gardner, Cabral who play in midfield.

No Watmore? I thought you'd have him playing in 11 positions this year?
