Just get that on the F1 car permanently.

0ne way to keep the sponsors happy when lacking performance.

 

Sponsors would be even happier if a new paint job was worth half a second a lap.That`s Zak Brown though,consentraiting on the business side of things rather than getting the car down the road quicker.

 

I'm sure we could all get a brick and paint it orange and white.

aerodynamically speaking it'd be as good as a maclaren

 

What a shambolic mess McLaren have become! This is just a scheme to hide the disorangized and utterly confused disorder that they now are.How I Iwish they were up there at the pointy end of the grid,challenging Red Bull.Ron would never have let them slip to this embarrassment.Time to go Zak .

 

the thing is they had the chance. merc was utterly dominant fair enough but every team is now equal under the eyes of budget cap.

this is not yet even coming to the point of convergence on the car designs so that engine power is the differentiator

there seems to be a lot of teams who fundamentally don't seem to get ground effect aero and drag.

red bull have nailed every aspect here. I don't know their engine is the best in the grid. it is not entirely clear.

red bull have got the most stable car on the grid. their suspension is designed to deliver it. everyone else seems to be focused on other aspects thst red bull are willing to sacrifice (like poor stability under braking where wheels are locking)

they have the lowest drag of all as they seem to get the flows far better. the rear diffuser for example is much more rounded to encourage laminar flow.

they understand they should run much lower rear windows downforce as 80% comes from the ground effect. others seem to have much more top of car wing downforce...and drag.

 

It's pretty hawt, right?

McLaren with a special “Google Chrome” nod to the past for Silverstone.

Really like the idea - just wish they didn’t have to keep the hideous naked carbon to weight save. A bit less orange maybe too would have been nice

 

They should have just kept that triple crown livery. That really grew on me.

 

Strong contender for the ugliest livery I've ever seen.

Especially when it's apparantly meant as a throwback to the beautiful 07-13 Chrome Mclarens

 

Just not enough Chrome.

 

I quite like it.

 

Oscar Piastri signs a new contract with McLaren that take him to the end of 2026.

He is probably really glad that he got away from Alpine who seem to be a team in terrmoil.

They have Adrian Newey

 

I do think the suspension was the thing RBR nailed early on while the others were still focused on ground effect and porpoising.
It is amusing to think the Honda engine maybe the better. Mclaren needed to be more understanding of the Honda tribulations. A lot of that came down to Alonso and his expectations and also the media. What happened was classic, let Mclaren take the pain and RBR came along as the nice guys.
