They will carry on, SL and co will explain whats happening i.e with the new transfer set up along with the academy.
spot on rod, we really wanted Del to succeed but finally it comes to that straw that breaks the camels back, I think he had the problem of being 'too nice' with the squad and maybe a manger like Paolo Di Canio wouldn't take no **** and give the players a big rocket up their arses. I do hope that oneforthebristolcity and redrobin don't come on here gloating over the fact this has happened and slagging him off even more, we all know what know all moaning ****s they are so hopefully they won't moan until they start to dislike Del's replacement.
**** me, Paul Trollope is 20/1 on Skybet. Mark Robins favourite, SoD, Paul Ince. Didn't take long for the odds to go up!
I don't want Joe Jordan or Gary Johnson, Johnson has only done well at Yeovil since we SACKED him as he totally lost the plot. As Jordan was also sacked by us. In any other business would you re hire someone that you previously sacked?? Di Meateo or however you spell his name would be a fantastic signing if we had loads of money remember his previous employer was Chelski. We need to be realistic in out choice and we need someone who can make our team of no hopers turn into actual football players and too me that's what the back room staff have failed to do so no going the cheap option Steve and recruiting the Assistant manager please.
Feel sorry for DM as he's clearly a good bloke and was giving it his best but he was out of his depth. The people who decided he was the man for the job ought to be joining him out the door but that won't happen. Wouldn't be surprised if, like Wood, Bolasie etc he plays a blinder somewhere else but AG - just our luck. This was the right decision but at least 6 weeks too late. The board need a new man in ASAP and may have the same problem as Barnsley in that no-one wants the job. I loved our time with GJ but that was in the past and I think SL now looks back and sees the mistakes that were made then with the youth set-up etc. We need to move on - I suspect SoD will be option A but he may turn it down anyway.
why may i ask? just the corrible hunt we need to keep these overpaid wasters on their toes. and got a great track record iswell
im with Massive. I don't want SOD as he hasn't done nothing to say hes a great championship manager. Daives has but theres a reason he's been out of the game for so long.
He has got a very good record. It's just last couple of jobs at Forest and Derby he kept going on about lack of investment and wanting more spent on the team, with the money he'd want for new signings I think it would be very difficult to manage taking the losses down to meet the FFP rules while keeping him happy. As there's the possibility of him falling out with the board and leaving (like the end of his time at Forest) if he doesn't get the money for players he wants and we need stability more than anything at the moment so i'd want a long term manager. Nothing to do with his actual ability to deal with players
