Jesus - 75 pages' worth on Howard here: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/tim-howard-though.73575/
There's no doubt that Howard's had a poor season, but he's nowhere near the worst keeper in the Premier League, you don't get 365 Premier League appearances and 104 international appearances if you're no good and at 36 he's hardly passed it.
Perhaps because he was good in the past? Keepers can drop off very quickly. He's probably not the absolute worst but he wouldn't be far away on this season's performances. I'd struggle to name a keeper who's had a worse season. Perhaps Mannone but that's only because my opinion is tarred by the abhorration of the Southampton game, I'm not sure how he went in the others.
Because my best mate follows them and I've had a rather macarbre enjoyment in how **** they've been. We also have a case on whether we finish within 15 points of them.
Ah right, I assumed it was because you like Premier League football and watch whoever, due to having no real ties with Hull.
Begovic and Speroni are the keepers next to Mcgregor which more or less (Howard excepted) shows that this stat is meaningless. It's a shame Mcgregor might needlessly be put under pressure now by our Prem loving fans who probably expect us to have the worlds best in goal
Bad timing to start kicking off when we at a massively critical time of the season, especially when the goalie really isn't that bad
These stats are pretty meaningless - but our own eyes and brains tell us that McGregor should be doing better than he has this season (and hopefully can do and will do in the next six weeks).
He really is. Has cost us a lot this season. Not sure how me posting a thread on an internet forum will affect team morale..
The thing is I don't really disagree but messing with the keeper now might unsettle the defence right when we don't need it, if the defence is doing OK, which they are, that generally means the keeper is sound
