And averaging his 2 goals conceded pattern already, he's also getting in the posts way again for the equilizer...what a shambles!

hopefully we are signing matthew ryan in jan to go in between the sticks!
 
If i say so?!! who are all these mcgregor fanboys?!...jakupovic makes one mistake, which in my eyes weren't half as bad as the howlers mcgregor has made this season!....i just think alot of you are blinded by something I cannot see in him!.....i dont expect hugo lloris in goal, just someone who can protect his goal!....you all.said he was brilliant before but he was playing with a shoulder injury! :/ hmm

Statement from Matthew Ryan.

" I'm very happy to announce I have re-signed with Club Brugge . They have made me very welcome and I had an amazing year last year. To have been rewarded with a new deal is great recognition from the club of how happy they are with how I have fitted in. I am looking forward to some great times".

I believe that statement means everything!

I was kinda shocked McG was put straight back into the starting team, I didnt think Harper was doing a bad job. What's the point in having 3 senior keepers if one is always guaranteed the jersey regardless?
 
Out of the keepers we've got McGregor is the best and should play when fit , thats about it .

We should always be looking to improve though and i hope we are looking for another keeper
 
Looking to improve, if we dont get a better keeper in Jan, we are going to face a tough season, i think if we had a better keeper we would be 4/6 points better off!....

This. None of our keepers are good enough, but McGregor is definitely the best of a bad bunch.

Either way, it's now the glaring weak point in the squad and certainly needs rectifying sooner rather than later.

Slightly harsh on Mags, he is a good goalkeeper although I think we can (and will) get a better keeper in January.

As others have said, there's no competition for his place and with him being the best goalkeeper we have, he's always going to get the number 1 jersey.

I'd see how much Stoke want for Jack Butland, or how much Hannover want for Ronny Zieler. Two decent young keepers who have bright international prospects.
 
Serie A is a bit cash strapped so maybe we could off-load a few players and get somebody like that Perin from Genoa. Mcgregor is good enough, but Harper is too old and Jakupovic has some sort of nervous issue which he even stupidly admitted to, probably costing him his career with us in the future. In this day and age you cant have a goalie who can be got at until he makes a few saves to settle down.

Ok so err what's he done wrong? When has he had an error anything like as bad as kicking it up to the middle of the pitch to an opposition player while out of his goal? Or dropping a cross into his own net two games in a row?

McGregors played more games for us and hardly made any big mistakes. Whereas Jakupovic's howler to game ratio is laughable. He wasn't in any way to blame against Tottenham, only someone who'd already decided it would be his fault could think that.

I've never rated Jack Butland at all , I'm not claiming to be an expert but surely there are better keepers out there somewhere

Decent young prospects is not what we need, they'll still be unreliable like our current crop. What we need is a quality goalie with a steady head who's not going to cost us points every other week with some stupid error.
