Must admit, although i' have very little opinion either way on this possible transfer, there does seem a bit of a knee jerk reaction over one poor display.
Whilst i dont' really agree with everything said here, i do agree that last night they didn't have a great game and he shouldn't be judged on one poor half being played out of position. Before last night pretty much all our fans were very excited about him and now this. Madness.
Couldnt agree with this post. If hed had an outstanding tournament we wouldnt be in with a chance. Still think MON will know how to get best out of him. Prefer to see him on the right though. That said would have Johnson first.
Never been excited about him mate. I watched him a lot when I was in Glasgow. Alright in a league that's on a par with our league one but premiership? Mind, tbh, I've not seen him play in Russia.
I have seen McGeady play lots of times and last night was a bad one for him. It was a bad night for Ireland and the usual spirit that makes up for a lack of class was missing. McGeady is a good player but not a great player. But he is exactly the kind of player MON can turn into a real handful for the opposition.
Of course it was a knee jerk reaction to a very poor game. That's what fans do for a living. McGeady remains better than most we have, but not as good as stated targets Johnson and Moses. Moses for me.
I like McGeady and would love him in our team. We have to be realistic and Johnson IMO is out of our league. McGeady has played with MON, so MON knows how well he plays and what he can do. I hate fans who judge him on one game for Ireland in a tournament against a good Croatia. A player cannot be judged on that one performance.
