Enjoyed that. Comes across as a decent bloke tbh. He knew Parky was ****ed from day 1 (or 10!). It's a very honest pod for an official club release. Quite daming of Parky regarding tactics and a general lack of training.
That's a really good point. A club pod cast being incredibly open and straight up to their own detriment in some senses. They must have known what was going to be discussed. Makes you wonder who protected Parky all that time and was no longer able too

I was very surprised some of the stuff made the final cut tbh. Not doubting it's true but very damning of the previous gaffer. Hopefully it's the start of a new beginning......:emoticon-0126-nerd::emoticon-0126-nerd::emoticon-0103-cool:

“We went from Jack Ross to him, you hear what people say, about him being old school and that. We didn’t play football, we had no game-plan, we hardly even trained. It wasn’t right.

“I thought I’d outlast him, but the team went on a run. I think he almost used me as a scapegoat, to deflect and say that I was the problem.

Absolutely damning of the previous regime. No game plan and hardly training. ****ing hell man, what was going on. No wonder Lee Johnson says there is a LOT of work to do. Ownership and management have put us back about 5 years at least.

If we didn't look that bad his statements wouldn't be so believable. Was nice to hear Geads thinks we have the quality of player to win the league but said it will take time to unlearn what they have had and reckons in 5/6 weeks we will see a very different sunderland

GEADS BITES BACK Aiden McGeady has launched an attack on former manager Phil Parkinson. Parkinson froze McGeady out during despite the Irish international being the most talented player at the club. “He couldn’t give me any examples of what I’d done wrong, any moments,” said McGeady. “He said he’d made his decision and that was it, really. I was absolutely raging, obviously, but part of me thought he would get the sack soon, so I’ll just hang on. Because, I don’t want to be too disrespectful, but I could tell after ten days he wasn’t the right man for the job. We went from Jack Ross to him, you hear what people say, about him being old school and that. We didn’t play football, we had no game-plan, we hardly even trained. It wasn’t right. I’ve had to deal with everything that’s gone on in the last year, people saying things about me jumping on the back of the rumours. There was no problem between me and Phil Parkinson – that was the crazy thing and the thing I couldn’t get my head around.” McGeady also suggested that Parkinson was unpopular with most of his team mates. “It’s telling that when Jack Ross got sacked, the lads were shocked and gutted,” he added. “When he left, everyone went to see him. When Phil Parkinson got sacked, I didn’t hear anyone mutter a word. I didn’t hear any of that, and that tells its own story.” https://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/geads-bites-back-1

Id love to find the thread i done in Oct and everyone shot me down

He speaks almost like a fan with the criticisms of Parkinson. Far more interesting than coming out with the usual cliches, McGeady seems like a clever bloke.

Personally I thought he was finished, fingers crossed I was wrong and a change in the mentality of the team can see him return to 2018 form.

Parkinson was ****e but I'll take what McGeady says about their situation with a pinch of salt. Parky's so conservative that he wouldn't take drastic action without a good reason. It's easy afterwards to paint it however you like.
Not one player has been interviewed and spoke about PP. Normally you would get players being interviewed taking responsibility, having a message for the manager but I haven't seen one
