LOL well you brightened my day up with that statement... I have nothing against him, I hope he will do well, he is a decent player but out and out goal scorer WTF?
McCormack's not a goal scorer. He's a second striker, and needs to play off someone like Becchio. He's a good player and I think he'll do well for us this season, but we can't be hoping for him to step up with 20 goals. Problem is that only leaves Paytner...
He has been the top scorer in this league you know. I would say that qualifies. He is a "2nd" striker but so is Wayne Rooney and look at his record. I get the feeling McCormack's the type of player who, if he scores 1 or 2, is capable of going on a great scoring run.
A total of 199 appearances and 55 goals, the season either side of his 38 appearances and 23 goals he scored a total of 19 goals in 70 games, hardly oustanding. 2009/10 - 5 goals 34 games 2010/11 - 4 goals 24 games Again I like McCormack, he is a decent player but we dare not pin our seasons hopes on the goals he might or may not bring us, I think he is a 12 league goals a season player.
But we're not really pinning our hopes for the season on him, just the start while Becchio is out, and even then we have goals from across the midfield.
I do think he can be, I was just countering what you said about us relying on hiim for the season. I can say McCormack's a good goalscorer but we don't need to rely on him for all our goals without contradicting myself. You're starting to sound like CliveTime whenever we talk about Grayson.
McCormack is a player who entirely relies on his form, if he gets scoring, he will score some goals for a team, or he could sit there getting unlucky with every chance, hitting the post and things wont go right for him until that all important first goal. I have faith in him, at least he shows hes hungry, he wants to get that goal, he shows quality as well unlike paynter that is
That miss against Boro 2 yards out header, I think we would have got Autos had he slotted that! XMAS ****ED US UP!!!
Please point out where. I said McCormack could be an out and out goalscorer given the chance but that I don't think we need to give him the chance.
McCormack played on the left alot for Cardiff, so that might have made his goalscoring record look worse. I reckon if he played in every game, he'd get 15+ goals.
Like I said, he'd be keeping Bothroyd and Bellamy outa the side if he was that good .............. Somma is better, McCormack is like our Grella (who I miss dearly btw)
QSS, i think somma shows a little better poaching for the goals and es always in the right position at the right time. McCormack is a better player from what i've seen as he shows better control, hes quicker and picks some very good passes away as well. I think they both work on cinfidence however and if they are scoring evrything goes right for them, difference was that last season somma was scoring and mccormack had an injury through part of the season and could never get going. I like what i see from mccormack every time i see him but he seems that little bit unlikely. Hopefully he can start to find the net but i dont feel comfortable in us relying on him to do that so i believe ving in someone on loan for 3 months is the better option. You know someone like Adebayor or Drogba, Manure might even part with Rooney for three months
You lot really are struggling for goal scorers aint ya ? So looking forward to the Mighty Tigers getting the 3 points on 16th august 2011.
you think ? its gonna be fun watching the not so mighty Leeds struggle. how does that feel then ? haha just watch us tigers roar.
