yes, coming across as not very bright..............and I'm sure Trappatoni realises this..............so why gove the indication he is going to play and not even bring him in from the bench. I suspect the latter means he has shown his displeasure already to Trappatoni. He needs guidance and encouragement, disciplining would be lost on him and make the situation worse.
After the showing at Euro 2012, I do not think Trap can afford too many more alienated players. The list is growing and it is not like there are huge numbers of quality players. I hope this blows over, not good for McClean or Trap or Ireland. He does need to get a bit of sense and stop Twittering rubbish.
To be perfectly honest, not bothered about the Irish fallout. Think DerryPele has been stupid. Trappatoni is a knob - cuts his nose off to spite his face. Don't play Pele. Keep him fresh for SAFC x
McMclean did not have a good game at Swansea, but the day or so later he had cold/flu symptoms so he may not have known he was under the weather!
