If it means Sunderland go down, I'm ok with that. If they both go down, that is still the better option for me.

Listening to TalkSport this afternoon, some S'land fans have already resigned themselves to relegation. Its an amazing statement of intent from probably the worst managed (board level) club in the premiership if not the whole football league. Just a toy and penis extension for Ashley I think. Can Benitez turn it around, well I still hope they get mullered on Monday against Leicester.

It would have been sods law though for Gregor to get sent off and Jakup' having a crisis of confidence (admittedly he's been pretty good when seen this season) or either of them getting injured. I think at little money the 3rd keeper was a decent investment. He might be pants of course!!!

Bloody hell man. Do you ever give up ? Do you ever concede "points" to anyone. Most of your "analysis' is based on social media and speculative press.
Your opinions are purely "black and white" stances. No subtlety or depth. No acknowledgement of the possibility that other peoples opinions may ever have any merit. When people call you or question your statements, you retort with some "paranoid anti-Sydney persecution drive" may be afoot. You even blame getting up early to watch a match on TV for your contrarian position and resorting to "insult" and "name calling" yourself. Something you're criticizing
others for. Blindly accepting press speculation over allegations of someone being an alcoholic is ridiculous, unless you have direct insider knowledge. If you do, and flaunt it, I'd say you are a pathetically narrow-minded, glory seeking "I'm in the know" individual.
    Give it a break.

You mean like when I admitted I was wrong about how much we paid for Ince? Or that half of the players involved in pre-game interviews didn't start? Or that Lerner asset stripped? Or that Powell played on the left against Sheff Weds? Or... etc.

For the record Nick Powell isn't or hasn't ever been an alcoholic. Can you ever not be one once you are one?

He lost his licence for 14 months nearly two years ago for driving whilst over the limit, he was also fined. He has it back now. This does not make him an alcoholic. It makes him a dick, but most of us have been dicks at some point in our lives.

He has a long standing reputation for having a poor attitude. He openly declared to his mates that he'll sign for whoever offers the most money regardless of level. This was around three years ago when he was a teenager, this attitude may well have changed, he may have been acting the big "I am" but I hear he still acts like a bit of a dick, attitude wise, at times

He has played the odd game in the local 6 a side league with his old school mates & turns up regularly to watch. He never looks pissed. He does genuinely enjoy a big mac or two.

I've never heard or being told that he's dependant on alcohol. I have asked those who know him, & I trust, & have been told it's bollocks.

My views are not the views of ****ing social media. That would be OLM who blindly quotes tweets without substantiating them.

People who live in Manchester as well as others who follow United have independently commented on it to me. He may no longer drink heavily - not sure if that means you're no longer an alcoholic - but it was what I heard consistently for a number of years while he was at United.

I have no idea what you're on about, I haven't blindly accepted anything off social media. In fact most of my views seem to run counter to social media or views on here so not sure where you seem to think I don't think for myself.

Only thing I can think of was my comments about Diomande, which was a rumour someone else mentioned to me and when I questioned the source he said twitter, think I've only suggested that as a possible explanation for his lack of selection, not as fact.

But you carry on with your rant and ignore the facts.

A young lad having a few drinks or getting pissed with his mates doesn't make you an alcoholic.

I've lots of friends who are lifelong United season ticket holders who have never mentioned it, not even since he signed for us, not a murmur, even those who are ITK.

I speak to his friends, those he plays football with, his old school friends & those he socialises with. All these also have no idea he's an alco.

He's not an alco. He's a young lad, currently all loved up, who has a tendancy to sometimes act like a dick. Sound like a normal 21/22 year old to me.

I didn't say it does. United supporters used to comment on their concerns about him, and guys I know who live in the area also made claims about it. If you have sources closer to him then I'll cede to your judgement. Don't really think I've mentioned it since we signed him so not sure why it's coming up now.

I just picked up from a quote someway up this page & on page two of this thread when you said you know as a fact that he is or was an alcoholic. Maybe you were just winding OLM up & I misread it.

People in his immediate circle ? Should I pass on your address so his lawyers can get your other "contacts" names and addresses to assist him in his libel suit ?
You are ****ing unbelievable in your naivete in trying to make a point... no to defend a baseless accusation.

Christ on a bike, it's an internet forum, worse gets said of every player on places like this. You think people weren't calling Johnson a nonce before anything was proven? How about Wenger? Etc.

Get over it. Not sure why you're on the angry pills today but just let it go.

May well have in response to something he said. Fact's probably the wrong word clearly!

I think he did, on another thread, make the very pointed statement he "knew" or "had it on good authority" that the lad was an alcoholic.
    He should button it.
