Sherwood might just work. He must have something to prove. Surely he can’t serve us up anything worse than we saw against Rotherham and Bolton? Having said that, I agree with DT and think we should look overseas for some European talent.
Crikey. You're brave to mention Sherwood in a vaguely positive context! If he is appointed, I'd like to reserve judgement until he's run a few games. I, also, agree with looking overseas.
Come on, he fits the profile, we either go for embarrassing egomaniacs - Warnock, Redknapp, Holloway - or bland personality vacuums - Ramsey, JFH, McClaren. Hughes managed to hit both templates, a boring egomaniac. Sherwood is ideal for the first type.
Just had a tenner on Darren Moore as next manager @ 16/1. I don't mind losing a tenner but NOT tim please.
Then only advantage of Sherwood that I can think of is that I would have absolutely no expectations whatsoever of success, and therefore won't have any hopes dashed.
Looks like there's a choice, we can do the American Gin day which just happens to be next Tuesday 9th April (strange day) and we can do it all again on World Gin Day which is 8th June......... Back on topic have I said before that I really don't want that egotistical twat Sherwood in charge.......
Tramore...since you and I are so perfectly on the same wavelength...let's do next Tuesday...and the 8thJune...and can raise a glass to "anyone but Tim Sherwood"... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
With our budget constraints etc, the chances of getting anyone but a complete novice fresh out of school or at the other end of the scale, a dinosaur, looking for one last paycheque before reality hits him in the face and steers him down pension street, is about where we are at. Timmy could pass himself off at either level so l guess we're stuck with him. I just don't want any close ups of him. I've never seen a face that can display so many abnormal expressions and signs of failure and still keep or get a job. One of the many wonders of the world in which we live.
Just to chuck another name into the hat......Nigel Clough Burton were really unlucky to get relegated last season working on the smallest budget in the division and they reached the League Cup Semi Finals this season......he knows how to work on minimal resources but he might just see us as a sideways move but I'd prefer him to Sherwood......
Don't think he's ever lived away from the Midlands - his entire playing and managerial career was there apart from Sheffield United which is a quicker commute to Derby and Nottingham than the West London suburbs are to the centre of town. He clearly prefers the smoke up there.
