McCarthy would do very well for you. The 'stats' lie, he's bossed this division when he's been in it with fairly average squads and he's kept below average squads in the PL. Plus he's built a fairly good and young squad there.
Johnson is premier league standard. Theres no way he'd take a pay cut to play in the Championship with a team that's not going to be pulling up trees in the near future (when I say that I mean not looking like they're one or two problems solved away from looking like a team that could win the league.) Fletcher likewise, no doubt he'll be at someone like Fulham or Bolton. Hamill looks a very good winger, but I should think that if Wolves go down he'd stay there or get a move to a side akin to those mentioned above.
Just in - Daily Mail seem to think the job is his if he wants it - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2100692/Mick-McCarthy-offered-Leeds-job.html
Wouldn't be my ideal choice. Would prefer him to Warnock but like warnock can't imagine him to be a long term manager. Hes never done well in the prem (although I reckon he's probably always done better than warnock in the prem as well)
Be my ideal choice to be fair - I liked the idea of Warnock but had a lot of reservations but McCarthey would be great - Old skool boss - straight talking and his players work bloddy hard and arent shy of a tackle and getting involved... He would get us promoted - Lets not worry about the PL until we are there... Would he want to work with Bates? Doubt it... Also not a bad transfer record of signing decent cheap players - Also he is 1000 times the manager Redfearn will ever be.
