He has as much as anyone else, or is the number of his ex players coming in a total fluke? No manager has total control, but he's part of the decision making, based on the parameters he has to work within.
I'm not question if he has more or less then anyone else, purely stating why the Crowley's left Huddersfield and why that pretty much guarantees they won't come here! I'll be very happy to be wrong though
It's rolling, so I think he always has a year, but based on the reason Adkins left I don't think we pay compo if he's sacked in the bottom 3.
I think he turned us down before we approached mccann, so I don't expect him to come either. It's standard that managers work with the board and recruitment consultants on transfers, so I assume he was being asked to sanction transfers he didn't want at hudds. Reading between the lines anyway.
Depends if they're given the budget to compete in the first place or not. Whilst I don't think it's all maccanns fault, I think some of resources should have been spent on experience to help the youngsters out. That's not my beef with mccann though. My beef with him is that even though the players were limited, he got no where near the best from them and did absolutely nothing in terms of formation and tactics to help them out, just kept on doing the same things that were failing time and time and time again, to the point they lost any semblance of confidence in what they were doing. Well organised conference players would have got the points to stay up from the position we were in. Rank incompetence.
