Anyone else think that the upturn in form is partly formation, but likely player playing for the incoming mgmt.
I doubt it. I think it's a few factors. Primarily the enforced change in set up, partly Honeyman, partly certain players getting to grips with the step up. But who knows. Tbf, these players have always given full effort
Agree with this. Whatever we as fans might have thought of GM, I think these players have always given him everything and actually would for the most part be sad to see him go if that happens.
Personally I've never said anything negative about GM. I've always said he was an excellent manager and I've been saying that consistently (for the last 4 games). PS (There is absolutely no need for anyone to check my previous posts, or my vote in the above poll. Nothing to see here). PPS I may have misspoken the truth in several statements in this post.
Well Phil Brown sees what is happening, even if an increasingly dwindling rabble of shouty old men on the internet refuse.
A couple of days ago I listened with my husband to a radio piece( BBC?) recorded last December called "Sacked in the Morning" which featured Phil Brown. He was a particular favourite of my husband and I enjoyed the program which featured recollections of his management experience, including the Manchester City Boxing Day game.
It seems any thought of McCann continuing in his job looks very doubtful now, this news of the Sporting director, who looks a very good appointment, looks as if there are going to be sweeping changes. Whether they keep Grant for a few games to hand over to the new Manager might be a possibility, but nevertheless, his days look numbered.
I think you'll see grant stay till the summer now. The new DOF will bring in a couple of players Jan to improve us and start the transformation and then the new head coach coming in the summer
You may be right but I hope not. We've picked up points recently whilst playing slightly better, but overall I remain underwhelmed by Terry and his style of play, not forgetting his overall record at this level remains dreadful
Record was ok when we had Bowen and Grosicki in the team so who knows if we bring in some better players in Jan. Have to remember we've been recruiting almost exclusively L1 players for three seasons now.
I think the problem ATM is what else do we have? Up top is still our weakness imo. From what I've heard it will be where the recruitment in Jan will be top priority
