And what about Hull? They are in a right old mess. Owner's son running things; selling players; not buying players; no concessions on ticket price; Managerless (Cookie Coleman has just turned them down).

Turning to the Championship, what about Wolves ? New owners; buying players like there's no tomorrow (or FFP!); sack Jacket and appoint Walter Zenga a week before the season starts. Zenga made a bumpy start at his introductory press conference, saying he decided to take the Wolverhampton job because: "Why not? Wolves are the biggest team for us in Italy."

Aye, although I'm over here at the moment and have been since just before the Newcastle game. I am making the most of it and going to the Cardiff game on Saturday. Sevilla haven't gelled yet really, what with one transfer and another, but they will. Our first match is next week at home against the other team from Barcelona then away to Villareal. The first match I will be back for is at home to Las Palmas.

 

I vote for starting a dedicated 'Sevilla' thread.

 

Well, if you do, here's a photo to get you going. It's against Barcelona from 2014 - we lost 4-1 after going 1-0 up! In case you are wondering why it is so empty, there was a torrential rainstorm that day (for most of the day) and the stadium doesn't have a roof - apart from a short section over the posh seats that you can see in the photo.

 

Shane Duffy is Blackburn's leading scorer with 3 goals. Unfortunately they're all own goals.




Not a good week for the guy all told -

Saturday: Own goal v Wigan
Tuesday: Rejects new contract
Wednesday: Two own goals and sent off v Cardiff


His sending off was for two yellows so only a 1 game ban. Should make him okay for 27th August so that's okay then.

 

I read about this in the paper earlier today. I have to say I laughed out loud.
