I've got the fight on just now, they are 6 hours behind in the States. Mayweather won by TKO in the 9th. Fight was stopped for 5 minutes because a guy on a paraglider landed in the ring and one of Siegfried and Roy's tigers ran amok in the cheap seats. Reminded me of the Golden Age of Boxing when Bruno was in his pomp.
Not many more watched Lomachenko. A woman in the third row was lookin' t'other way and a guy over the other side was watching his shoes.... A fight for. The people.... That the people can't watch.
That really was a boring fight, made so because Mayweather was running as usual, whilst Pacquio fought like a fighter that was scared to be knocked out. Pacquiao appeared not to want to take the risks required to ruffle Mayweathers feathers. In only a couple of rounds he pressed him properly, and those where the only 2 rounds he won. The other 10 rounds Mayweather was hitting and moving and winning the rounds comfortably. Even Ricky Hatton gave Mayweather more of a problem early on, as he was prepared to take a few to land some of his own. But Pacquiao fought like a fighter who was happy just to see out the 12 rounds and lose on points. I expected better from Pacquiao. Perhaps that KO from Marquez has had a big effect on him phychologically, as he didn't fight with the same level of aggression.
