would you risk getting socked in the puss just to please fans? for me it's up to his opponents to push him more. Maidana did the right thing in the first fight. (2nd fight not so much )
Nah, it's a sport at the end of the day. He's there to win. It's the rules of boxing that are ****ed when love-taps count as punches.
A very fair assessment in my view. Although i thuink he should have said what he thinks about Mayweather senior too...
Not really. In his early fights Ali made an art form out of being very hard to hit, which is not quite the same thing. Then he discovered he could take a lot of punishment, which is the worst thing that can happen to a heavyweight. Despite his ferocious aggression, Tyson was also very hard to hit, especially when he had Teddy Atlas and Kevin Rooney working with him. Mayweather's achievements don't even come close to either of that pair.
Tyson in his early days beat - nay demolished - every **** that was put in front of him; unified the division; ducked no one. He wasn't exactly born into a golden age of heavyweights, but that's hardly his fault.
Correct trev me old mucker, he was good to watch but as you say, beat ****ing nobody and got beaten by a couple of nobodys too
