Surprised nobody started a thread about the big fight tomorrow night/early Sunday morning.

Anybody interested? Nice amounts of money for both fighters, $180M for Mayweather and $120M for Pacquiao. Nice money for an hour's work.

I have heard of people having early morning parties to watch the fight. Anybody buying into the hype from Sky and purchasing this fight?

Going to (hopefully) stream it. Failing that I'll listen to it on the radio. I expect Pretty Boy to prevail but I hope the Pacman does.

I don't think its hype. This really is one of the best match ups in boxing history.

£20 to watch the boxing on the telly even though I have the full Sky package ( That may very well change in the next month or so. I hate them but have to have it. ) . Not a chance. I hope Pacquiao spanks him though.

Exactly this (plus both fighters were in their prime about 8 years ago so they've missed the boat a bit).

I am buying it but the undercard is poor with only 2 televised bouts.
Am expecting it to go the distance and be close which sets up a rematch and another nice little earner for all concerned..

I might just lay in bed and listen to the wireless for free like I used to as a kid in the seventies. Not that I'm short of a bob or two. I've still got my luncheon vouchers that I kept from the eighties.

Very nostalgic Nines. My LV's were only 15p in 1973. My mum was a boxing fan as my granddad was a boxer in the 1920s, I remember us listening to that famous Cooper v Clay fight on the BBC Home Service in 1963, when Cooper nailed him with that left hook she was off her seat shrieking, I'd never seen her so animated.

Back in the real world I think it's such a shame that boxers can dodge each other because they hold different versions of the same title. It used to be one title and eight divisions, so a World Champion truly had to be a top fighter, some of today's 'champions' would never have even got a shot at a title fight back in the 60s.

I'm usually up early so may listen to this one on the radio, at their best this would have been a great clash of styles but as the old adage goes 'a good boxer will always beat a good fighter', Pacman was knocked out by Marquez and Mayweather is technically so good he'll expose Pacman's weaknesses. I think everyone would love Pacman to knock out Mayweather as he is everything you loathe as a person but I think he'll be too smart for him...

Ringside seats are changing hands for a neat $300,000 EACH, hope it's not a first round ko at those prices.
Pacman all the way for me, I'll be watching it on the wireless

In the Arkles pub on Anfield Road. £2.45 a pint of lager. I could get drunk for a tenner. A few thirsty early arrival R's around now. Enjoy the game folks.

The last time I paid for Sky boxing, Tyson bit Holyfield's ear and it was all over. If I ever see Mike Tyson, I'll give him a piece of my mind ( from a distance)
