Apparently talksport have just said we have a 4M bid plus Martyn Waghorn for Nicky Maynard accepted.

Hopefully Waggy is a loan but i reckon he will go. Shame

is there a link, i cant find anything.

p.s. what a rip off! thats like £5+million worth, but its not my money tbh :D

\o/

Steep price for my liking. I wouldn't value Maynard over 4 million, considering he's the last year of his contract. But if the owners are willing to pay...

I agree that its a shame we'll be losing Waggy too. I predict him scoring quite a few once he gets a regular game.

Exactly, it is a rip off, but if they're willing to pay it I'm not complaining!

I will be sad to see Waggy go but I'm afraid it makes sense, for all parties.

I won't get too excited though, I was sure Nugent and the Yak were coming but they didn't. Talksport aren't exactly the font of all knowledge are they?

Happy Days, it looks as though Brizzel have already started trying to get a replacement as an unamed championship club have just bid 2.8 million for Billy Sharp. If he costs 2.8 then 4 for Maynard is not too bad.

I think we all knew that this sort of thing was going to happen though, new forwards would put Waggy further down the list, and he does deserve football week in week out.

If this is true it will work out as good business for both sides.

Agreed, we have to accept he's not ready to lead our line and is not in Sven's plans.

I still maintain he's got loads of potential, good luck to him wherever he goes (I actually hope this is true as much for the reason I'd hate to see him in a Derby shirt!)

My cup of coffee will be safer for the pre-match shoot in if this is true. Sure Waggy has been aimimng ay
me and my wife over the last season

If you are to end up ith Nicky, I hope he is as sucsessful as the last Bristol City legend you paid out for..... Ade Akinbyi.

We bought him for £1.3 and sold him for £3.5, then got some of your cash as a sell on, making a nice £3m profit not to mention his 25 Championship goals.

If you buy Nicky for £4 and a player that will be of use to us then this could be as nice for us a Ade's time at the Gate.

Hopefully Nicky will leave his shooting boots in Bristol like Akinbyi too.

The bitters are back <laugh>

Getting worried?

I'm glad BCFC are sticking to their word that they will never, ever, 100% not even contemplate thinking about maybe accepting an offer from another Championship club.

Money talks. Seems a lot though, and a shame for Waggy.

I heard it on twitter so posted it. No links

Its just a rumour thats why i said apparently

Talksport, bbc leicester and bbc bristol all deny any knowledge of this so who knows
