Can't remember many people ever saying any of this ****, far as I remember we've spent the summer complaining about the lack of money being spent and quality brought in...
I was at Ponteland Aerodrome the other day and witnessed four Newcastle shirts coming through customs all on their own..
He still is useless having to be within 6 yards to have any chance, only the piece of you know what is doing it for another team
That will be why we are all hearing about a "french revolution" and "cabaye the lads" and "simply marvouxles" and other such ****e before they ever kicked a ball. I noticed an interesting thing on your site that would explain these childish displays. Someone did a "Tell us about yourself" thread and about 80% of those that replied were under 18 and living outside the area. I think the oldest one to reply was only in his mid 20s perhaps a bit older. Bunch of clueless, gobshite kids.
Bent is no footballer but he is one of the very best goal scorers in the EPL or Europe for that matter. No SAFC fan ever said he was a good footballer outside the box, as his first touch is average, passing non-existenta and dribbling skills are zero. Put the ball in the danger area, in the 6 yard area and he is top class. That has never been in question. Show me the posts where he has been slagged as a **** goal scorer by us?
You can see it in threads I've made on the NUFC forum. I honestly don't know what the big deal is. The only reason he was so vital last season is because he was the ONLY player who could put together creative playmaker passes. Nolan, Tiote, Jonas and all the other players have never been known for it. That's why he was so key. However, now we have Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Vuckic, Abeid, Gosling and Marveaux who are all creative players and can do what we relied on from Barton so much last season. He's a cracking player, don't get me wrong, but we have new players now, and from what I've seen from Cabaye alone, he's miles better than Nolan and could easily be better than Barton. We'll wait and see how he fairs in an EPL game. Once Ben Arfa gets up to speed and youngsters like Vuckic and Abeid have some game time, the squad will end up being stronger and, most importantly, much more creative than last season. So yeah, people crying because they think we're doomed without Barton really are a bunch of plebs. If it's true that he's been causing unrest in the dressing room and throwing strops, he needs to leave sooner rather than later.
Only time will tell I suppose.... For the record, the more I've looked into why they have let Barton go on a free, the more I can understand where Ashley is coming from...I've always said that Barton is, and always will be a dickhead. It will be very interesting to see how many of the Newcastle fans who have vehemently defended Barton over the past year or two now come round to my way of thinking.
It's a universal fact that if he had just kept his gob shut, none of this would have happened. Instead, he's kept pushing and pushing on Twitter, and now we hear stories of him having arguments with Pardew and even some of our new signings like Cabaye because he didn't get the captains armband and didn't get corner duties during Leeds. That seemed to be the final straw, as he was put on a free transfer the next day. He's becoming more and more of a liability by the day, and as much as I love him as a player, if he starts unsettling our new players (who are VITAL for next season), then it's time for him to go.
You see its this bit that I cant let you off with. You can only assume they will be creative and do the things that Barton did because to be honest, you havent got a clue really. Your brief glimpses of Arfa & Gosling (what games have they got betwen them in the EPL?) dont really tell you anything and as for the others what do you actually know about them without looking at Wiki or you tube? Youve got rid of Carroll, Nolan, Barton and now it looks like Enrique who you all know 100% what they can do and replaced them with unheard of gambles who might be Pele's but equally and more likely could be Carlton Palmers. Thats a helluve gamble at this level and we should know as we have suffered from buying gambles over the years that never really pay off. If youre an honest bloke, you wont be able to say otherwise in your heart of hearts.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course it's a gamble. But nothing is certain in football, is it? Even established EPL players could move to another team and turn out ****e. It's my team though, and just how you're so optimistic with Wickham, We're optimistic with our players. And what I've seen of the players tells me a lot. The time on the ball players like Ben Arfa, Gosling, Abeid, Vuckic, Ferguson, Cabaye and so on have had shows quite clearly that they have the creative attributes which we were lacking so much last season. Whether they can stand up against the quality of the EPL in a few weeks time or not, they still have those same attributes either way. It's creative, playmaker-style passing which creates chances. Look at Cabaye for example. People were worried about him not being able to handle the high intensity of the EPL, but he's shown attributes in the pre-season games which give a good indication that he'll do just fine. He wasn't remotely afraid to get stuck in with tackles, he played quick high intensity football and he held his own against the hustle and bustle of other players. If he didn't manage to do that, then I'd be worried somewhat, but as it stands, I'm confident. It's much in the same way you mackems are currently drooling over how Sessegnon has performed in pre-season. Regardless of opponent, you can just see there's something about him which will be exciting next season. If next season proves me wrong, I'll come on here and admit it.
He used to have his age on display, and if memory serves me correctly, he is only about 18. However, I'm sure that chappaz will be around soon enough to correct me if I'm wrong.
Told me he was 25 when I had a run-in with him about being childish. May have changed his mind, like all his mates have about Barton's character.
No see you’re just manipulating stuff to make an argument in support of the Froggy Gambles. You say from what you have seen? Seen where exactly? On you tube, as none of them have played in the English leagues before and Gosling and Arfa don’t have a dozen games between them in the EPL for you. Did Cabaye actually have a pre -season with the first team, or was it the reserves? He didn’t go to the States did he? Sessegnon took all of the latter part of last season, after he came in January, to get used to the EPL. For the first 10 games he struggled to adapt to the pace and intensity but once he did he scored 3 times in his last 4 games and has 3 in 4 in close season. We know he is good because we have seen him 20 times and he has had 4 or 5 months to play in the EPL and a full pre-season now. That’s the thing about foreign players which you are conveniently just ignoring. You seem to expect these lads will just waltz into the EPL and take to the rough and tumble like seasoned Premiership campaigners. They will be in for the biggest culture shock of their lives and you have 4 or 5 of them you are relying totally on. Does that not worry you at all? I'm not saying they might come good but it may be Jan or Feb by the time they settle in and by then, you could be struggling. I'd be ****ting bricks if it was us in your shoes. As for Wickham I am sure he will be one for next season and only eased into the league but it’s the likes of Larsson, Vaughan, Gardener, O Shea and Brown who will make a huge difference t us this year. Seasoned veterans who will take no time fitting in to a league they are all comfortable in now. Sessegnon and Gyan too have had the benefit of 25 plus games and will be ready to go form day one. Only Won is in the same position as ALL of your signings and he isn’t an integral part of our team yet. Your foreigners will have to go hell for leather from day one or your club will be in **** straights very quickly.
25. Certainly not old enough to remember much about football past the mid 90's. You? I haven't even put my date of birth in this website, so you must be thinking of someone else.
