If you're in jail in Egypt I'm not sure things can get much worse , I'm sure she'd be very glad to come back here and face any consequences from the British justice system , it just means they are looking at the person who supplied her
Yes the person in Hull who supplied the Tramadol could face charges for the illegal supply of prescribed drugs. Even if it was not for profit, it is still an offence.
I'm pretty sure you could buy this Tramadol online, it's freely available here over the counter by all accounts. So whoever supplied it could have got it from overseas, but one would have thought the UK customs would have checked on it's arrival. If that is the case, why not get it delivered to Egypt, because her boyfriend knew it was illegal I wager, so he has a lot to answer for, and she being so stupid.
I don’t think he has got anything to answer for. If I had a foreign bird and she asked me to take prescription drugs over, I’d google if it was legal.
Sorry disagree, if he knew it was illegal, then asking her to bring them, knowing she may well get caught, he does have something to answer for IMO. I agree she should have checked, but maybe she just never imagined they were illegal, and that her boyfriend would never ask her to take a risk, so never thought to check.
Its been clearly reported in print over recent slow news days , that this Eqyptian B/f has already stated , He was unawares that this girl was bringing any pain relief tablets. Her actions it seems were of an. Altruistic response on her part Reading between the lines , It reads there was No nefarious pre- programming intended on her part. Just a Naive girl wanting to help a person that involves feelings She's trying to offer. Still Ignorance is No excuse
Well we’ll have to disagree then. The idea that she just trusts her married boyfriend when he asks to bring 300 pills over is preposterous to me: “Why don’t you just get them here? Actually luv, I’ll just have a quick search on the internet to see what it says about bringing them to Egypt”. It’s ****ing laughable. If some English bird asked her oversees lover to bring 300 pills over that are legal where he lives but illegal her - and he did it - then nobody here would have any sympathy for the daft sod, nor be blaming her.
The sympathy comes from being in jail in a brutal foreign country which she was only visiting on holiday. Very few people on Earth deserve what's happened to her. They could just deport her, ban her from going back and let her face charges here. But forcing her to stay in one of their hellish cells, thousands of miles from her family and anyone else who cares about her, is just inhumane.
The crime was committed there. She was caught there. Prison is meant to be horrible. She wasn’t only visiting on holiday, she was smuggling drugs.
Isn't it a bit unfair on her "husband" if she was jailed over here? How would he be able to visit her?
