Just taken my seat in my favourite bar to watch the fight. The highway, a couple of hundred metres away, is totally empty, which I have never seen before. Usually very congested. If Pac man wins this country is going to go mental.
 
How was it? Judging by reports it seemed quite anticlimactic
 
Well it wasn't a classic. Paquio wanted to fight but Maywether just backed off and counter punched. The scoring from one judge was scandalous, but the ref and all three judges were yanks which I find worrying. Not a lot of neutrality there. Excluding the Filipinos, the Westerners were pretty divided about the result.

The better quality was from Mayweather and I think he clearly won by 4 or 5 rounds. The commentary from Sky towards Mayweather was very biased though as per usual.

But Manny did tear his shoulder 3 weeks before the fight, and was advised to cancel the fight but didn't. And he was then refused a painkilling injection prior to the fight by the Nevada Athletic Commission, which quite frankly I find totally baffling. So no surprise Manny wasn't at his best and couldn't throw as many punches as he would've liked.
