Hilarious that he is having eat to humble about one of the players he supposedly left over us signing. Just tells you Rafa wasn't basing his decisions objectively but just entering into his usual fall out with owners to the point where he's just deliberately awkward. I see trouble ahead at Everton. It might not be this season but I'll be amazed if he lasts 3 years.
Nope all the reports at the time was he wanted neither. Sorry to hit you with this, I know it won't sit well. I’m sure this got reported even before Rafa left and it’s Newcastle “pressing ahead” even though Rafa had made it clear he didn’t want them, and hadn’t even departed. Then I’m sure Luke Edwards reported similar as well as other sources. Can’t pick and choose your info when they are linked unfortunately. If you think he didn’t want Joelinton there is no reason other than sucking Rafa off to think differently about ASM. I love a good wriggle from his fanboys though. Same thing happens when Ivan Toney, Adam Armstrong or Kevin Mbabu are mentioned…
Well there was that too in amongst all his other reasons. You will recall he wanted a long term ‘project’. Went well that…
Id ask for 60 mil personally. Fantastic on his day, but injury prone, not much end product, we wont get this high an offer again, Everton are **** with their cash.
I don't think we should sell him... If you look at our results without him in the side. I don't trust our lot to spend it well.... I honestly feel like if we sign willock and conor Gallagher we'll have a very good 1st 11
+ 2 wing backs, a centre half, an attacking midfielder, a new owner, chairman and manager please santa
I just hope we are going to learn from last years error. No other thought should be given to another transfer until we've a destroyer and ball player for the middle of the park. Otherwise we are morons. Stevie Wonder can see what our problem is.
I wouldn't fall into this trap mate. I think his form last year is only overrated because of his previous shocking level. He still threw in plenty of shockers last year too. He's not the stamp of player we want for me, and certainly not once the Saudi's roll into town. He's the kind of player Mike has conditioned us to learning to accept as good enough. I'd cash him in while his stock is high relatively speaking to his time here. Very limited for me.
He did well vs a few good sides last season. Keep playing him and he'll only improve... He's got assists and the odd goal in him too.
