I have to agree with the Leeds fans, Gradel is one of the top wingers in the Championship and better than Kebe.

Kebe reminds me of Dyer - a lot of pace but very frustrating. The game against us for example, he murdered us up and down the wing then fluffed the final ball/finish almost every time.

Gradel has clearly reached the potential that we thought he had at times when he was here.

He still has much more potential.

Not at all. Four yellow cards and no reds all season, and no angry reactions at all that come to mind. His crossing's not as good as Snodgrass' on his day, but it's certainly not as erratic as it was when we first picked him up and causes defenders a lot of problems. A lot better than Kebe's from what I've seen of him, he just uses his pace and tries to dribble it back across the box again. Max's record speaks for itself anyway. 18 league goals, five assists, end product, pace and tireless work for 90 minutes. Which other winger in the league can score, create and track back to the same extent as Gradel? None.

That's not mentioned enough, how much of a force he is at backing up the defense.

Have to say he had a cracking season for LUFC last season. Was very imressed and a little surprised at the consistency he managed. He looks to thrive playing further forward. Not seeing him play week in/week out cant comment on his tracking back - but will take the LUFC comments about this at face value. Think they got a bargain from us. Dont expect him to return to the Walkers, though he probably does miss playing in a decent sadium.

Ironically, some Leicester fans said at the time that the reason he wanted to leave was the defensive workload Nigel Pearson was burdening him with. Now he's at Leeds, he thrives under that responsibility. The way he's come on under Grayson says a lot about his man-managing skills in my opinion. Always manages to get the best out of the more testing personalities. I guess Pearson at the time couldn't handle that, he doesn't seem the sort of bloke that could empathize with a player like Gradel and get him playing (the boring weird-haired sod!)

Pearson put a lot of time and effort into a player WHEN he believed it was paying dividends - When he felt it wasn't worth the effort he quickly cut them loose - Clearly he got that wrong with Gradel, although given Pearson's hard-line approach I don't think Gradel would have ever improved under him.

Has to be said Grayson has to be applauded for the way he has developed Gradel

boring weird-haired sod - classic <laugh>

Always said we should never have let Gradel go - he is a class act and still young and learning. To think we kept DannyKeep-guessing with Gradel in the side!

I personally prefer Kebe but Gradel ins still quality.

Funny how Leeds have a front three of Becchio, Gradel and Snodgrass but havnt got promoted!

I'd take all three of those instantly, but how Bates reckons Snodgrass is worth 8m is beyond me.

I cant stand him either as a player. He dives, rolls around and tries to get people sent off. I remember back in the league 1 season when Leeds came here Wayne Brown and Becchio got into a spat and Becchio was trying to get Brown sent off

He's an Argie - what do you expect? ;)

Good player though, knows where the goal is tbf.
