Another name thrown into the ring for the role of New Striker at WHL.

The ex-Birmingham loanee, who's currently playing for Lazio, has apparently been pushed down the pecking order by the arrival of a couple of new forwards, including the delightful El Hadji Diouf.
His club have refused to rule out a sale and we're supposedly one of those interested in signing him.

Probably more media gibberish.

"Because of the inevitable departure of Modric" Is that a done deal then Modric leaving for £30 mill? It's still not enough by at least £10 mill imo. £30mill plus a player perhaps but I'd like him to stay.

After some thought perry no I don't suppose we can can we? I'm just as fed up with the Modric saga as I am with all these names bandied about.

And why is "inevitable" that Modric will be departing <doh>

Becuase that's what's wrong with football reporting in this country - it's weighted so much towards MUPLC and Chelsea they've become the English equivilent of the Old Firm, which means if one of them wants your player it's an inevitibility they'll get them.

As for Zarate, he's one of the few Argentine players that didn't get a call-up when Maradona was in charge, which says a lot.
