apparently refused to take players out to training in protest Jose the Martyr if true he deserves everyone’s respect on here
Didnt even need to read about it, I'm a Maureen historian and know how he is, he woulda barfed at the ESL and i knew they'd flip at him for it
So how many managers is that Levy has sacked now ? Something like a 13:1 ratio in terms of managers to trophies innit ?
Jose makes a final with Spurs and a spursy squad. Others laugh at him. Great manager, will no doubt get an other big job as he delivers time and time again. Bad news for Spurs, can see some players getting out.
I would never suggest you support another club - I for one could never switch allegiance ... but if my club joined this new Super League I would stop watching them but would probably still watch some domestic footie ... albeit as a neutral. I hope (and suspect) that our owners would reach out to the fans for their thoughts / wishes before going ahead... and I think they would respect the outcome ... but what do I know? ... however, we were happy enough to stand alone and reject the then proposed Pay-per-view plans ... so I'm optimistic....
The timing of this is truly bizarre, something has defo gone off behind the scenes, we’ll no doubt find out what in the fullness of time.
Interesting betting on next manager. https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/tottenham/next-permanent-manager would Rodgers see it as a step up or sideways. look for the one that’s not working so no compensation is my guess.
I honestly think Rodgers would see it as a step up. Timing could be an issue, IMO, as I’m sure his stock would go up with an FA cup to his name.
Rogers won’t go there. Spurs are in the mix for this ****house league and Rogers has a good thing going at Leicester. He’ll get the City job when Pep bounces.
Odd timing. Aint they got a final to play soon? All moureen seems to do is turn the milk sour at clubs nowadays. The special has deffo gone
I reckon that's him done over here for good. Honestly what club would touch him with a bargepole over here now?
A lot of what I've seen and read is not a lot different from how I felt as a lower league supporter regarding the Premier League. I know the PL is not in it's own right a closed shop, because it allows promotion and relegation, but financially it is a closed shop, unless you can find a wealthy backer. Some of those backers have reaped rewards for clubs, others have turned to disaster. https://atthematch.com/article/how-the-oystons-destroyed-blackpool I felt so strongly about it in 1992, that I swore I would never watch the team I love if it ever reached the Premier League and I could bore you with many reasons for that. This scenario of the European Super League is even worse, but it's what comes of 30 years of what we have all bought into. If you paid to go to a Prem game, if you paid a subscription to SKY or BT, we have all bought into this.. Now the top six want an even bigger slice of the cake, so there can be no more Leicester's with their wealthy backers, so their can be no tinpot Gillingham's trying to hault the progress of Manchester City. So there can be no West Ham at the upper end of the market taking the European place of Arsenal or Spurs They will want B Teams next as part of their package, we may stand in solidatory together now, but I will always think what about the Bury's and Wimbledon's, Halifax, Hereford and Newport before them. It's like horse racing for the Kings, we have no control of the destiny, they will just water it down and as always, the paying tv viewer, will be all that matters. 80,000 at Spurs is nothing to them, compared to millions viewing on a world wide stage, spectators, why do THEY need them, covid has taught them to manage without us. The American dream.
