My lad doesn't even like football but he's a Spurs fan.

I certainly wouldn't put it on my kid to support e.g Barnet just because I live there. I don't want the height of my enjoyment to be to get to the 2nd round of the FA cup just coz my dad might have moved there a few decades ago.

If Town got relegated this season, I might say 'oh that's sad' but I don't care and they are PL...so it certainly isn't about just glory...but **** me if someone decides for me that I'm supporting e.g Altrincham

 

This geographical issue has got me wondering. What club would / should you support based on geographical location ?

For me born in Lewisham it would be Millwall or Charlton. But these days the nearest biggish club would be Plymouth Argyle

Good for them....still ****e though on a week to week basis and not ****e I would want to have supported for the last 34 years.

Swansea, but I really wouldn't want to. The other club I have a liking for is Notts Forest as I used to go watch them a lot.
