Chelsea are not so popular, don't know why...oh yes it's because they are a bunch of chavvy Landan twats.

Probably, although also a lot to do with players like Best and Keane... not everybody has an affiliation for cum soaked meat and offal pies whilst watching some overweight joiners get turned over by Premier League never-was-beens.

    Each to their own innit.

You've lost me there. If they can't swim, how did they get to scouseland in the first instance?

Did you edit your post. Sure you said can't swim. <laugh>

Why do the Irish support Celtic... religion <whistle>

Why do the Welsh support United or Liverpool....because probably at the time, Swansea and Cardiff were lower league sides not fashionable to support. So glory hunters.

Also because when Liverpool were at the top they had Wales' best player of that era (Rush) and when United became good, they had Wales' best player of that era (Giggs).

also due to cultural or geographical "closeness", not many Juve supporters in Ireland when Liam Brady played for them

Yeah its mainly the Welsh who support foreign clubs because of personnel, daresay there are a few taffs walking around with Madrid shirts on these days.

As for the Irish.....the Irish are ****tards :p

Depends on their age ... older ones that don't support Cardiff or Swansea tend to be Liverpool fans ... most 'plastics' tend to have adopted the team most successful during their primary school years ..

Yeah I think that happens a lot, it did with me. Liverpool were on top when I took an interest in footy and there were no family members pushing me a certain way. I don't like the "plastic" label but not that bothered. To me a plastic is someone who just picks a team and is then likely to change teams based on success.
