You know what ed- I was absolutely against signing him.
Ive now changed my mind after seeing what else he has brought to the club off the pitch.
The level of proffesionalism and commmitment he has added is immese. He can validly challlenge anyone opinions on any subject being as hes won every domestic trophy there is to win ...multiple times
Can you imagine Adel, Barton or SWP even having the front to doubt him? He'll just start listing medals won..
Only Cesar comes close and he'll be gone anyway.
I reckon well get a decent half season of games out of him, but he got us Caulker & Mutch and they are both quality. he's repayed his transfer fee already as we have 2 good assets
im hoping he'll have the same effect that Gullit had on chelsea (no I AM NOT COMPARING THEM) in that he will attract other younger top class players to have a look and maybe come to us or at least consider us seriously.
Obviously we need to stay up first and formost, and a team with Green, Caulker, Isla, Mutch, Remy etc would be seen as a team worth considering...
So in short, I think he will turn out to be a bonus, even if its not on the pitch.

... it's the theme tune from the TV series 'Dad's Army' with a little poetic licence ... personally I have never heard it 'chanted' at a football match ... if it 'feels' familiar to you it is likely that you have heard it on the telly and it would seem to me a quote from Captain Mainwaring it appropriate at this point ................ Just for the record, we dont need help from others in regards to our etnic origins or rights. A lot of the rules and work done actuall embarrases my culture and makes life harder for us.
