Off Topic Matt Targett

Been solid since he's arrived. My only concern would be if he left Villa because he was told he would have to battle it out with Digne for the shirt he might only be a short term signing but him and Dummett as LB (in a back 4) next season will do me. Trippier and Manquillo at RB decent cover there as well so just CB's, a winger and a striker needed to have a really good push at top half next year.

15 million more than I expected, but for a proven premier league english fullback that's not bad.

I thought it would be closer to 9/10m.

they bought him off Southampton for £15m and he's done well for the last few seasons for Villa. £15m for a solid 26year old player with 3 seasons to run on his contract, coming into his prime and on the verge of an England call up last year is good business for me.

Yes but Villa fans were saying that since graelish left he was poor. If he was really doing that well they wouldn't have loaned him. He was out of favour and off form.

Player of the year last season so was playing well
This. He was voted their best player but he isn’t sexy.

He’s been brilliant for us and we need to get that deal sorted.

He is our best left back for quite some time.

We don’t have to worry about defence now.

Summer transfer window is a striker and a midfielder and an extra centre back.

To be fair it’s difficult following on from Haidara
