I thought Villa were a bit negative. This is the way they play under him though. Three deep sitting central midfielders looking to release Agbonlahor and N'Zog, Bent poaching. They concede a lot of possession and ask a lot of of those three attackers but won't lose many. I wouldn't be happy watching it I must admit, and don't find it very progressive. I thought they were the better team first half but we had plenty of possession. I thought we took control 2nd half and if anything, were the better team overall. I thought we deserved our point and could have snatched it through the outstanding Cabaye. Tiote showed signs in the 2nd half he was returning to his best but he'll have tougher days when he is against midfields who pass and go. Happy with the point but you just wonder where we'd be if we'd got the striker and Ben Arfa was fit. Good times. I thought there was more fluidity to our passing in this game, and although they were happy to concede possession, we showed signs some of the team is starting to take shape.

I've noticed this a lot this season, Le Tissier really seems to have it in for us this year, no idea why. His comments were outrageous and after Pardew had praised the players for their hard work he had the cheek to ask him what game he was watching. Wish Jeff had brought up the stats to make him look an even bigger tool on live TV.
