With the service Heskey gets from Dinho and Turan it was a no brainer. Stewart Downing completed an incredible 100% passing the ball backwards completion rate. outstanding by the big man.

  2. I don't depend on Neymar, he is just the superstar of a star studded team

I make that one for you, one for a draw and three for me <whistle>

I still have time for a comeback.

I don't think our own predictions count though so 2-1 you. At the moment.

  4. STD said they did but I pointed out that the average could easily be ****ed up if you predicted yourself to win 100-0 <laugh>

We've had five of the ten so yeah, still time...

    ...yeah right <laugh>

Oh, right. I forgot to get back to this thread. Busy lately. Ok.

    ---------------Mignolet-------------
    -Lichtsteiner--Pique--Chiellini--Alaba-
    ------------Modric--Gerrard----------
    ----Gotze----Fabregas----Iniesta----
    -------------Van Persie--------------

Unquestionable talent throughout the team. CB pairing has the perfect combination of guile, pace and power. Two fullbacks who like to get forward but not at the expense of defensive duties (unlike Johnson and co <whistle>). The midfield and forward 6 are all very accomplished ball players; possession is key to the team's success. Modric has shown at Madrid that he isn't afraid to put a shoulder in and keeps the ball well under pressure. Gerrard equally adapt at keeping the ball, but is much tougher shoulder to shoulder against pussies like Yaya 'I get outmuscled by Lucas) Toure and the like. He's also really developed his passing range in recent years which'll be used to set Gotze free down the channels.

Iniesta is a genius. Fabregas likes to push on into the box behind RVP and will recapture the form of a few years ago when the two played at le Arse and as for RVP; brilliant goalscorer when poaching in the box and picking up loose balls, but a fantastic player in his own right to set up the likes of Gotze, Fab and Andres.

I would back myself to beat Billy 5-0 <whistle>

Not quite sure Gerrard and Modric will be good enough to pick up Messi, also don't see Gotze and Iniesta willing to track back so his wingers could get a lot of joy, but vice versa. Interesting!

Gotze and Iniesta are supported by two fullbacks who are very good at getting back into position to defend; attacking fullbacks would be a silly selection with those wide forwards.

Alaba and Lichtsteiner picking up Vucinic and Robben (if he can be arsed having a good game) leaving Pique and Chiellini to handle Messi. Chiellini's a good old fashioned physical defender who'll make his presence known early on whilst Pique knows Messi's game inside out from Barca. Modric and Gerrard with Fab dropping back - being very adept in a central midfield role - can easily keep Isco and Coutinho out the game with their experience and slight edge physically.

Schweinsteiger's a threat still, but he'll have to be keeping close tabs on Gotze's movement through the channels, RVP dropping deep and the genius of Iniesta doing whatever the **** he wants <ok>. No time for Seb to make goal threatening runs into my half.

Jay Spearing will also take up his revised contractual role as the team mascot; inspiring the Mannschaft Rangers to a well earned victory.

    here are my votes

Billy Vs Spearing I am going to vote for the guy to put his team tactics in... spreaing for me. 1-0

MITO Vs Magic - no contest at home I win 24-0

Bluff Vs Biscan - I kind of think bluffs team will win it via a better defense, and llorente being past it ;) Aguero to socre 2.

Gerrez Vs Luv - I think cavani is gash and neymar is too... but most of all the traitorous midifeld and the hateful pepe make me want to vote this week at least for Luv, even though i didn't even look at his team... I reckon luv's team is proably worse but i'll go with him just to spite pepe.

Lucas Vs SJD I'll go for the guy with a team posted... Sjd to win.

  9. Can we strike MITO off the voting please? He is judging on personal grudges! Plus, (a) why he has an issue with Reina, or (b) why that effects my team <whistle>
