Ronaldinho.. Played recently for Brazil, not to shabby. Downing has his fair share of England appearances, + Has been in the prem for years and is at his peak. Heskey not so long ago was key for England and he's a legend over in Aus. Turan - Turkey captain. Adryan is one of the young promising stars in Brazil, Adam regulary plays for Scotland. A back 5 of Huth (Stoke regular) Delap and Bramble (both prem experience) With Turan and Downing is miles better than Tahiti's defence! Ronaldinho is still a big player in Brazil and Downing plays regularly for Liverpool and Turan the same for Atletico! I've applied long ball tactics and 2 banks of 5! How the **** am I going to concede 7-8 goals?
You have a back 3 with Carrick in front of them playing against 2 banks of 3? Even with the tactic of Downing and Turan playing deeper they are not known for their defensive play, I would imagine that the back 3 will get stretched and that's then the main flaw with Hulk and Suarez being able to get 1 on 1 with players and a midfield able to pick passess.
Sorry I was still editing. See my revised post. Even if I was being harsh I would maybe reconsider to 5-0 MITO.
I consider that a result! Ok I've reconstructed my formation -Downing-Adam-Adryan-Delap-Meriel-Huth-Bramble-Ronaldinho-Turan (All on the goal line) ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------HESKEY-------------------------------
Can I just say something. My team may not have the big name players, but it doesn't have the ego's that come with the big players. What my team does have is heart.. And I'll admit it okay, maybe the eleven I have is lucky to be in the competition, but I've spoke to the lads and I can promise you that they are more up for it than any other team in this competition, they will chase down every lose ball, every lost cause until they can't physically run (10 minutes in Brambles case). Downing came up to me and said "Gaffa, d'ya fink we can win"? I looked down his bright bubbling eyes, smiled and replied "Yes, Stewart, believe in yourself". And from there on in he's been like Messi in training, he even scored from a hand stand. This man is bang in form! Heskeys been hitting the gym and he's a tank, same goes for Bramble, I have Lee Dixon as a defensive coach and it's working wonders on my team. Ronaldinho looks like the player of 10 years ago, every time I see him he's smiling.. I kinda wish he wasn't because his smile does freak me out a little. As a lot of teams have proven, you can put the best players in the world together and they'll play like cack. My team has the perfect balance of power, pace, strength, creativity, balance and other descriptive words. Any team can beat any team on their day.. And by God, this is my day, our day, Magic Rovers FC's day. Go with your heart, not your head! For we come not to play! (Got payed to say that)
Would it be better to have everyone get their teams in then have a table set up and everyone picks the score? easier than shifting through the pages?
Billy Vs Spearing (waiting on both) MITO 3-1 Magic I was as kind as I could be Magic Bluff 3-3 Biscan Big score draw Gerrez 3-2 Luv Tight game home advantage just put him over the top. Good set up on the two teams though Lucas Vs SJD (waiting on Lucas)
Billy vs Spearing: TBA MITO vs Magic: 1-2 (Ronaldinho double on the break) Bluff vs Biscan: 2-1 Gerrez vs Luv: 2-1 (Sorry Luv but Dev's team does look pucker) Lucas vs SJD: TBA
So you know Magic, on my score, though you lost 8-4, it was 3-3 at halftime and your men fought valiantly. Unfortunately, Taibi made his way onto the pitch somehow and replaced your current GK and well, it all went south. btw, anyone see the World XI allstars vs Messi XL allstars last night? Julio Cesar played in the field the first 45 and Marco Materazzi played in goal for the World XI!!!
