When I remember who's on my team, I'll set about putting some tactics down. How long do we have to get this done? When do we vote on games? All games at once or one at a time? What happens if my player gets sent off? Does MITO play his first 6 games with 10 men since Suarez is banned? So many questions..
errr don't think that helps me! Got a knee appointment at 5 my time, you old ****s will be in bed probably.
I'm just going to tell my team to go out there and enjoy themselves... can't beat a team that is enjoying their football Or if you want more detail, playing in a similar way to Benitez at Liverpool in 09 with 2 holding midfielders who can tackle and pass but both can pop up with a few goals. They'll also push out wide to cover when the wide players don't get back. They also have the energy to get in between Pirlo who although good on the ball will be targeted without it due to his lack of pace and energy. Playing 90 minutes he's bound to tire and will become less influential as the match goes on. 3 in front speak for themselves and their passing and link up play will cause anyone problems. Bale's pace with Ozil & Mata's creativity will create chances and Llorente is the perfect link up man to play upfront on his own. If in doubt, can also go more direct and use Llorente's height and power with Bale's pace. They will rotate so Bale will drift in and to the right while Mata & Ozil move around causing problems for the only 1 holding midfielder in Busquets. Think my team will cause major problems from set pieces. Llorente, Vertonghen and Hummels all awesome in the air and Bluff only has Kompany who can't mark all 3. Luiz is bound to give away a few penalties when I tell the ref to keep an eye out for some more rugby tackles from corners ala Brazil v Uruguay. Any free kicks around the box can be rotated between Mata & Bale who have great records this season. The back 4 are partly made up of the 2nd best defence in Germany so individually may not be the best but have an understanding and experience to stop most front lines. Also have the best young keeper in the World with 3 years experience at a top club in the CL. They also have experience playing Di Maria at RM in the champ League this year and kept him quite over 2 legs so have no problems there. Prediction 3 - 1 to the mighty Biscan.
1.) If your CM keep going wide to help Bale and Mata out you will leave more pockets for Pirlo to collect and break on the transition and space for Hamsik to create. 2.) Set pieces won't matter if you can't get the ball . 3.) Pirlo tire after only a 90? Has he not been superb in every game in the last few tournaments which area gruelling schedule? 4.) Think the pace and movement from the top 3 will give your back four a torrid time with Aguero shifting between the false 9 to draw out the likes of Hummels and Vertonghan or playing off their shoulder. Set pieces will be a bit of a problem with all the teams but I don't want to play like Stoke......
1. One would only go out wide if your wide players have the ball and are breaking - Pirlo won't keep up with any counter attack & Biscuits doesn't push further forward so will only be 1 v Hamsek and no one else to take advantage of any space. 2. That's a poor excuse, shows you're worried 3. He's old, he'll tire, especially after a long season with no subs Plus he's used to playing in a slow Italia league, won't be able to keep up with the fast paced Premiership 4. The back 4 coped ok with Di Maria, Ronaldo, Higuin & Benzema in the Champ League so will have no problem when you throw in Barca's worst wide player and a guy at Napoli who has gone off the boil in the last 2 years Case closed.
How did the season come fully around if this is the first game???? Think it was ( especially the second game) as case of Real Opening up Dortmund but didn't finish the chances, it happens. Pedro is far from being the worst wide player lol. Hamsik hasn't really gone off the boil as his stats are still pretty similar over the past few years. Goals over the last 4 years in the league have been 12,11,9,11 and assists have been 4,8,9,14 so for off the boil that ain't half bad and as you can see his passing has clearly improved. ( all of that is only the league) Still don't think your back four will be able to cope with the pace and ingenuity from our attacking four with the Wingbacks bombing forward as well.
STD... Can I just point out that, although tactics etc were a good idea, its created a hell of a lot of bloody reading!!!
Agreed, everyone know my team will just go and win no matter what tactics so although it was nice of bluff to make an effort, he's wasting his time really
Or SJD can just create all these teams in fifa, set out the formations, then create a mini league with them all and just simulate each match, home and away in a league format and post the results here Less work for us
I'll back my guys to break up neymar in our first game. martinez will be assigned to go do a job on him once i get that far... be warned its either him or suarez and you know lima beans and ciante will go will with short arsed brazilians...
