No match argument about that red card.

How that gamed ended only 2-0 is a mystery to me. Great performance though and no injuries ahead of Tuesday night.

Is that us back at the top of Scottish football?

Great to see that performance and players coming back from injury.

More Well's luck than anything else it wasn't in double figures.

The only downside is Forrest final choice of decision or the number times he falls over. His pace is required to make our team tick , if everything he created turned to goals we would hit double figures . Great to have an away game on a Saturday with a 3 pm kick off , lots of people looking for tickets , just like old times!!!

Highlights for all you Timmies out there.

I have to say, Motherwell were ****ing ******ed yesterday. That ball over the top absolutely killed them and they kept letting it happen over and over again. That said, when they sat in we passed rings around them. Motherwell were lucky they didn't get absolutely skelped. We'll play worse and win by more.

Cheers reb was looking for highlights this morning. Everyone was locked out.

Seems like we played very well and what a first touch from hooper, larssonesque. Good to see Sammy back as I feel we'll need him to be on top form in Moscow where we'll probably play 4-5-1.

CELTIC threw down the gauntlet to the rest of the SPL yesterday as they shot to the top of the table then warned: Catch us if you can.
Neil Lennon saw his side warm up for the midweek march to Moscow in the Champions League with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Motherwell at Fir Park. The Hoops boss insisted their impressive display laid down a marker for the pretenders to their SPL throne. And rival gaffer Stuart McCall confessed there’s not another team in Scotland who can live with them in this form. Gary Hooper’s strike and an Adam Cummins OG gave Celts a first-half lead before
Cummins saw red for a last-man foul and Scott Brown missed his second penalty in a week.

And the Celtic gaffer said: “I thought we were brilliant from start to finish. “I was just a little bit annoyed we didn’t come out more comfortable winners.

“But that’s the best we’ve played here in my time as a player, coach or manager. “We’ve gone top of the league. That was the incentive there for us and we were very motivated going into the game. “That’s the way I want us to play and we’re starting to hit a bit of form which is great.

“I’ve been pretty happy with the performances – apart from at St Johnstone – but this was a pretty good marker. “The new lads are settling in, we’re getting quality players back fit and I’m excited about this group of players. “You could see that manifest itself today. “I also thought the 3pm kick-off helped, I honestly believe it did. I really enjoyed it, enjoyed the atmosphere, enjoyed the extra time to prepare for the game.”

McCall held his hands up afterwards and admitted: “That was a rampant Celtic side. “You have to take your hat off to them – if Celtic are playing well, and they did today, then no one in this league will live with them.” Lennon knows, however, that domestic bliss doesn’t always translate into success in the European arena.

But he believes confidence is high enough going into their game with Spartak on Tuesday night. He said: “It augurs well but we know Tuesday’s a different animal. “We’ll not have anywhere near that much possession or that many chances but it’s a huge confidence boost going into the game.”

One thing Lennon does know is that skipper Brown won’t be on penalty duties if they get one, having missed his second spot-kick in a week.
The Celtic boss said: “I didn’t know Scott was still on them! “I thought Charlie Mulgrew might have put his hand up but there’s a big debate going on in the dressing room as to who’s taking the next one. There’s a queue for it.

“In my time as manager Anthony Stokes, Gary Hooper, Georgios Samaras, Kris Commons and Brown have all missed penalties. “Fraser Forster put his hand up to take one and sometimes the keeper is not a bad option but it is not a major issue. “Scott has been pretty consistent with his penalties up until last week but to go 3-0 up would have made it more comfortable for us.” Keeper Forster joked that his chance might come soon rather than later if his team-mates keep blowing it.

The Englishman said: “I’ve had my hand up a few times. “If I keep knocking on the door maybe I will get one eventually. I am sure someone will fancy their chances, step up and put it away.” Full-back Adam Matthews is Lennon’s only injury worry ahead of their flight to Moscow this morning. The Welshman missed yesterday’s clash after rolling his ankle in training on Friday but will be given a chance to make the trip.

Mjallby was just on the box there saying Sammy was important because he has legs......a clear swipe at Minty.

But yes, I agree. He can get us high up the pitch. He is vital for that.
