Oh gawd - Ryan Loft is on for Cambridge and he couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo, so he’s bound to score against us!
Hopefully he hasn't improved, it's the city lad Stokes is bothering me , he seems to be trying to win the game on his own as the others don't seem want to help him 70th minute Hutchinson scores for Rovers and is then flagged for off side ref speaking to his linesman decision not changed 75th minute Sinclair off Forde on, Sinclair appears to have put in a good performance today Northampton have taken the lead in the 85th minute 79th minute free kick to Cambridge, their crosses have caused a bit of danger for Rovers today 81st minute Griffiths takes a high ball out of the air and then lands awkwardly is receiving treatment 84th minute corner Rovers won by O'Donkor which he then fires wide Daniel states double slip in the area should have been 1 - 1
Only got the commentary of Daniel to go on, either way we didn't score 87th minute Griffiths gets to the ball with panic in the penalty area, Cambridge really pushing for the equaliser 90+1 stokes misses the target in a one on one situation 8 minutes extra time to be played Scuffle in the box our or theirs not said Rovers player could be in trouble According to Sky Morrison has been shown a 2nd yellow card / red carded 90+3 minutes, Wilson Yellow carded 90+5 Lindsay off Senior on 90+7 Stokes v Hutchinson, Daniel saying Cambridge players are losing their heads both players yellow carded 14.34 free kick Cambridge could be the last chance for either side
Corner cleared and Taylor sends O'Donkor on his way 2 v 1 in Rovers favour , tries to lob the keeper and gets it WRONG FT Cambridge 0 - 1 Rovers Northampton won so we stay in the same league position
Yay! We actually won a game! Well done lads and congrats to Calderon on his first Gas victory - may it be the start of many more. UTG!
I watched the game on sky sports +. We played well in the first half to be fair. Well worked team final as well. However the second half we looked nervous and we played more defensively trying not to concede than push to get a killer goal. Although we did hit the post (O'Donkor hit the post on a tightish angle and should have gone across goal. And I can't see why Hutchinson's goal offside. They said Sinclair was in an offside position and blocked the keepers view from Hutchinson's shot but replays from behind the goal shows he wasn't blocking the keepers view. I believe VAR would have given that as a goal. We keep scoring goals at the moment which end up being disallowed.
My concern in this game was where we were winning, Cambridge HAD to go for it where they would be way behind in the relegation zone. They HAD to push to get something and I thought we will let them back into the game where they will then go on to win with all the attack minded players in the pitch while we were defensive. Thankfully we just about hung on. Their 1 on 1 in the 90th minute should have been scored. We got away with it.
Barnsley leading 1 - 0 at present There was something in the press last week? about Var coming to the lower leagues, we seem to have had some very silly decisions against us lately, I believe that if we had Var then we would have beaten Orient on New Years day, according to Daniel Hargraves who seems fairly unbiased there was a foul on Senior in the build up to the first of their goals, O'Donkor won the ball with a fair challenge that got him booked for their second and their manager said he felt that if Ward had gone down when his shirt was pulled their player who had already been booked for the penalty he conceded would have been sent off, but he waived play on when there was no advantage to Rovers Barnsley leading 3 - 0
todays line up v Ipswich Griffiths, Sousa, Moore, Wilson, Sinclair, Ward, Sotiriou, Sawyers, Taylor, Martin, Forde, Subs Hall, Senior, Bilongo, Lindsay, McCormick, Hutchinson, Thomas, O'Donkor, Dixon 2nd minute corner Ipswich which was headed wide by Burgess 7th minute corner Ipswich conceded by Martin who then cleared the corner out for another corner which was then cleared away They have kept Delap on the bench Bromley 1 - 0 Newcastle 13th minute Forde using his body to legally stop Clarke getting the ball in the penalty area 15th minute Edwards scuffs the ball while unmarked in the area and Sousa puts it out for another corner which Griffiths eventually catches a punt from Burns 18th minute Kalvin Phillips scores for Ipswich 1 - 0 Rovers From Daniels comments Rovers seem to be outplayed 24th minute Clarke scores Ipswich 2 - 0 Rovers
Tottenham only put 3 passed Tamworth, if Ipswich keep their foot on the gas they could get a cricket score 28th minute Moore crosses and Muric catches the ball 34th minute Griffiths down stretching his leg, having a water break looks fine to continue 38th minute Jack Taylor scores for Ipswich 3 - 0 Rovers, replays show Taylor completely off side but no VAR, with Ipswich in the premier why is VAR not being used 41st minute Talor lashes one wide Rovers being completely outplayed 43rd minute Muric played the ball straight to Sotirou and then redeemed himself by saving Sotiriou shot 44th minute puts in a good block another corner to Ipswich 2 minutes extra time to be played HT Ipswich 3 - 0 Rovers Daniel wants to know how the officials missed the offside which would have made the score 2 - 0 not 3 - 0
second half begins Johnson on for Burns the only change at HT 50th minute ball hooked away by Connor Taylor from the lurking Al-Hamadi 51st minute handball by Ward which Al-Hamadi fires wide 53rd minute Corner Rovers which results in a freekick for Ipswich because there was Physicality in the penalty area Daniels last post was the 55th minute sky states it's the 65th minute nothing happening for the last ten minutes, but at least we haven't conceded another goal 16.26 Double change for Rovers Thomas and O'Donkor on Forde and Martin off Approx 18 minutes plus extra time to save the game not holding my breath 74th minute Hirst, Broadhead and Clarke on haven't said who they have replaced, and Sawyers and Sotirou off Hutchinson and Lindsay on 16.44 Taylor off Senior on Rovers last change 16.40 Muric replaced by Slicker GK change
Today's line up v Barnsley Griffiths, Sousa, Moore, Wilson, Sinclair, Ward, Thomas, Sawyers, Taylor, Hutchinson, O'Donkor Subs Hall, Senior, Mola, Sotiriou, Martin, Forde, Lindsay 3rd minute Shot on target from Keillor-Dun saved by Griffiths 6th minute Phillips fires into the side netting 8th minute corner Barnsley, Daniel saying Rovers giving the ball away cheaply and Calderon is very animated on the touchline Cambridge 1 - 0 ahead v Bolton 10th minute Sinclair drags one wide of the post 15th minute Griffiths saves from Watters in a one on one situation 17th minute Luca Connell nets for Barnsley but the flag goes up for offside
20th minute Hutchinson forces an acrobatic save from Killip, corner Rovers which appears to come to nothing 28th minute Keillor-Dun forces Griffiths into another save 30th minute Griffiths denies Watters in a one v one situation, either they are going to regret these missed chances as we grab a late goal or we are going to lose very heavily today
Don't think we are the heroes in this script 34th minute Sinclair forces Killip to make another save after the shot was deflected 37th minute a good ball from Moore finds Sinclair who fires wide but was offside anyway 38th minute O'Donkor bullies a defender and gets the ball in a one v one with Thomas and Hutchinson waiting for the cutback Cambridge now leading 2 - 1, if we lose this the gap will get smaller 42nd minute O'Donkor scores Rovers1 - 0 Barnsley, Sinclair scrapped the crossbar and ward recycled the ball and it was finished by O'Donkor
