Is it as cunning as a fox what used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has moved on and is now working for the U.N. at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning?
1 more day for season ticket holders. I'm refreshing nufc every hour waiting for more info on buying new ST's lol
Any news on season tickets? Todays the deadline, but cannot see anything on website about buying season tickets lol
I'd add an extra few days onto that to allow for them to collate the data, report to the owners, allow them to make a decision, then allow the newly available tickets to be gobbled up by current season ticket holders first . Roll up Roll up.......I'll start the bidding at £3k
I wonder if members will get first dibs. Memberships last past the final game of the season up until 31/05.
We'll see, makes no sense that they'd have to wait until later to do that, if you're going to give them until 19th to renew, why make them wait until later just to give them first dibs on new tickets? Might as well let them do it now if they're going to get priority over everyone, even members. I'll assume that it will be ST holders and members first dibs or just gen sale.
Doesn't work like that. You have family enclosure members who turn 18 that have to be relocated, people needing relocated for medical purposes and the Platinum Club bond holders to decide on renewal and that's before any new corporate sponsors get dibs on where they want seats. Then it will show a clear picture of what's left and available and then they decide how to proceed. From a business point of view - these guys don't need season ticket money. They know they will sell out regardless and make more over a 12 month period with memberships and match by match sales than to discounted season ticket holders.
If I was going to bet on it at this moment I reckon they stick to what they have. No new season ticket holders and members for match by match basis. Then if they manage to start ground expansion in future they have the wiggle room in future to accommodate all existing season ticket holders without pissing anyone off and avoid mass disappointment from the fan base that don't get season tickets.
tbh I wouldn't be too upset with no more season tickets being sold, because as a member I'll be able to get to most of the games anyway, the only one I couldn't get to this season was Liverpool. Buying tickets individually doesn't equate to much more than season ticket prices anyway.
I think its probably the fairest way for all parties. Owners avoid anything negative and fans who want to go buy a membership. Also means if certain areas of the ground need closed in future they have the facility in place to do it. I'm still half expecting safe standing to be introduced in the Gallowgate and Leazes in the not too distant future but I reckon thats something that could be done in a matter of weeks or months.
