Category 2 has way more seats in it, so yes. You go into a raffle for that specific section of the ground. Less seats = Less chance of winning. But obviously if you do win for the better seats you've won big.
Maths not your forte I see. The important thing is not the number of seats available rather how many apply for those seats. For example, if 200 posh seats and 400 apply you have a 1 in 2 Chance of being successful. However, if 2000 cheap seats and 10,000 apply you have a 1 in 5 chance of being successful. I do appreciate that you don’t know how many people are applying for each type of seat though.
Actually both the number of seats and the number of people applying are important. Likelihood of getting a ticket is dependent on amount of people applying and amount of seats available, and my assumption is the sheer amount of seats available in category 2 probably gives you a better chance, although that is my guess. No need to be condescending....
