To be fair that England match thread was purely because I was bored as feck

His comment(s) in the England Under 21 thread is what started this thread.

I knew I wasn't going to do the match threads next season but Magic's comment reminded me that I needed to tell you lot so that you weren't all waiting for my match threads in August!

To be honest, I think we need a poll to decide all of this...

Poll sounds good, we'd need poster to state their pitch for the job too

 

Again, to be fair that was just a bad attempt at wit and I didn't actually have any interest . And still not 100% I'd even be up for doing them in the future

 

You will have lots of time at uni, I'm doing a supposedly time consuming course and have loads of time!

 

I'd be up for doing them though, I'm a fairly literate fellow who spends too much time online.

Following on from this, earlier in this thread I said this...

...Billy made a comment that's made me want to alter my stance here slightly. If we had a match thread like this it won't encourage new users to the site. We need a top match thread that other forum users hear about and want to read each week.

I like the idea of people that are interest pitching their case and we have a vote

I have an idea, what if the people interested do some match threads for upcoming matches, England U21 or Confederations Cup and Pre-Season friendlies at the end of the Summer we can then all vote on a poll for the best match thread and if they are all top notch then just talk to each other and take turns.

I will throw my hat in the ring! Would be happy to do it. But if we have another member that feels really passionately about doing it then I will happily pick my hat back up

 

When we do the poll we could spice it up by feeding the losers to lions or making them spend a week on the manc board!

I've just asked where the phuck you are on another thread, so here's the answer. If you're off to uni this year, you must be 18 now and doing your A levels. Earlier in the thread I said I'd be interested in doing the match threads - I've since then changed my mind.

I'll be first to admit that I struggle to get my points across a lot of time which prevents me posting on a lot of threads on controversial topics. Of course a match thread is an entirely different thing but if other people are interested in doing it they'll be able to do a much better job of it because of as I said, I find it hard to structure my posts in a way that I actually make any sort of sense, and I'm sure most of the time people have no idea what I'm on about . As said above, Chris's match threads are possibly the best on Not606 so the only way is down from here on in
