Once a decade or so, we have a season where there the club is not threatened with things such as administration, eviction, extinction or institutional child trafficking. In those seasons, the FA Cup draw for the round after we're eliminated is generally the low point of the season.

This isn't one of those seasons and today isn't one of those days: whatever happens this season will be overshadowed by the Premier LeAGUE enforced changes to the academy system. But I'll still be gutted if Spurs draw Stevenage.

 

Agreed, it was shocking the way they forced Football League clubs to vote for it by threatening to cut their academy funding.

I agree it was a great atmosphere in the Rookery. The stand was rocking. The banter between fans was a good laugh as well. Can anyone remind me of the witty Spurs retort when Watford went through their various tax related chants? Apparently it was a good'un.

 

I genuinely wouldn't have minded if it were Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal. We've been to their places, they've been to ours, and both sets of fans have seen their sides win that fixture. For me Stevenage would have been a bigger game.

 

No, that's just Premiership players for you. Blow on them and they fall over. It's a man's game in the Championship

You seemed to think that "Foy is playing for Watford"..... if anything he was making up for Stoke by helping you out.

 

Really? How did he help us out, exactly?
I joked about Foy playing for you when he intercepted a pass by one of our players and deflected it directly to one of yours.
Following his shocker when we played Stoke, I'm sure you'll understand.

 

I must have missed that and any appeal....was that before or after Parker got away scott free (no pun intended) with a two footed tackle straight through the back of one of our players.

 

You must've been watching a different game to me, as Garner's dive was very, very blatant and Parker made no such tackle.

Generally felt that Foy was giving Spurs more decisions for similar things. Not enough to go mental but the small things that added up over the match.

I think you're making a lot out of nothing. I don't really remember it but it wasn't THAT bad.

 

Fair enough. Can't say that I agree, but Foy's crap, so it wouldn't surprise me.
