Apologies if this has been mentioned above, but I was disgusted with Alex Pearce - not just one or two decisions he was hounding the ref on, but most of them. What was worse was that his own captain was there, so he didn't have to be but Gorkss did nothing to stop him. I would've given Pearce a warning the first time and cautioned him the second with a word to his captain about failing to control a team-mate. It was glaringly obvious that we needed the sort of midfield play that Hogg brings to the team.
It certainly seems that we play better with Mapps as captain and Hogg partnering Prince in the center. Maybe, just maybe Eustace is getting to the end of his playing life and should be considered as more of a sub, twice he has been a super sub of late and he has changed the game for us, even scoreing with his first touch against Donny.
Definitely we need Hogg back, does anyone know how injured he was? And yes, Eustace is better these days as a sub, sad to say. Mapps seems to get wins under his belt as Captain...no coincidence, surely?
IMO Forsyth deserved a yellow card for that tackle, his studs are up he may well have got the ball first but his studs are up and the Ref only gets one look at it. He made the right decision, if the club feel hard done by they would have appealed against it and as for the second tackle it was worth a yellow and as I have previously stated if he had not have just got one he would have got one then.
I will try not too loose my head in this, but forgive me if i do! I simply do not understand how someone can say that his studs are raised!! If you look at the first picture of him, you can clearly see that his stud are pointing down. His whole leg is at a downwards angle!! How else are you supposed to tackle?? Only from the side so that the laces only touch the ball!?!? Thats bollocks!! He got all of the ball first and therefore it was a good challenge! What have we come to if we are saying that a player who takes the ball but happens to show the other his studs deserves a booking?? This is a deserved yellow card as his foot is off the ground and he is leaping in. Craig simply slid in, took the ball and then slid into the other player. His studs and foot did not touch him. How can that be a booking??
Thanks Mark. I thought Dyche had simply dropped him in place of Eustace after a couple of good performances by the latter. Oops.
Baby Daniel, maybe best not to mention 3 pts for a home win when our lot have managed 19 in 14 games(officials fault again?).You see the trouble with The Must Blame Someone Elsers is you never quite manage to mention the decisions on the pitch the Hornets get that THEY shouldn't,'experts' will tell you its supposed to pretty much even itself out over the season....unless of course WFCs that one club that EVERYTHING goes against ? From what I gather theyd have struggled to beat 7 opposition players on Sat.
Looking at this particular shot, I'd go as far as to say the ref booked the wrong player. Forsyth already has the ball and Karacan is aiming a kick at him.
True Neither tackle is any less legal than the other and it is a 50:50 ball (well maybe 45:55 in CF's favour!) so both are entitled to go for it.
You may have seen this already, but i do like SD's honesty. http://www.skysports.com/skysportsnews/video/0,,13987_7430722,00.html
