I do wish we'd stop giving teams early leads for them to hold onto - got to give ourselves a chance!

To give the team credit we created some good chances 2nd half and generally defended well.

We merited at least a draw I felt whereas in previous home games we have deserved to lose.

Bet Doyley wishes he had shot now!

Merkel did ok I though but cannot complain about the sending off.

Not sure if we ought to look up or down now!

It's been said before, but teams have worked us out. Close us down quickly and and we will go backwards. This makes us easy to defend against.

Did anyone else see Ekstrand fall on his backside as he ran into position after the handshakes? He was feeling his back for quite a while after, so it must have hurt.

Most of the comments seem to be based on the result, not the play - usually what journalists do. Although we were slow (very slow) to start, the 2nd half was one way traffic. On another day Deeney's header would have gone in, and 2 or may be 3 other clearcut chances would have buried Reading - what would the comments have been then I wonder ?

But Deeney's header would never have gone in, it was a very poor attempt. However it's a very good point, if a couple of those better chances had gone in and we would be saying a well worked win.
We need to start faster at home and not let the opposition settle and put the press on us...I much prefer away games.

I agree with you wear y but how times did GFZ bust a gut trying to get the watford team to come out of the blocks running? This is a serious issue WHY can't the team start as they mean to finish and go hell for leather right from the very start ( like Reading did on sat). This has been one of our biggest problems this season and I don't think it's a physical/fitness issue but more likely to be a pyschological one. Didn't we have attached to us a sports psychologist at one stage or is that not what they do

So, based on the way we played, we were unable to convert our chances...again. Not the first time this season. I think some of the comments on this thread do reflect the way we played and are not just about the result (see my earlier comment). Doesn't change the fact we lost though!!! What is it they say: if my aunt had balls he'd be my uncle<yikes>
