i agree MadMoose..the officials were very poor, the ref, and the linesman on the left were awful...but i have to admit, i think it was fairly consistant for both sides, it's probably that we had more good shouts than they did...

Murray was indeed a good move Although their keeper was not really troubled. Nice to see Gavins Mum running the line!

Glad that Sean Murray got some playing time. Hopefully Assombalonga will start at Preston. Don't have a clue whether his ability merits it, but we need the shirt money.

A fair result... they took their chances and scored well....

Can't complain at getting beaten when we didn't score in 90 minutes, but I felt we were the better team Yorkie.

Hmm, maybe I had yellow tinted spectacles on Norway. But at 0-0, I felt we were more likely to do something.

Good shout on Hodson. I don't agree with the criticism of Doyley from a few people on here. But it is true that if Doyley gets anywhere near the penalty area, we forget about whatever the other full back has done. His crossing today was right up there with the sorts of balls he was putting in consistently when he first came into the team. Although I think the season is ending at the right time for him: difficult campaign, has done really well towards the end, and can now go into the summer with his head held high. He'll provide genuine competition to Doyley and a bona fide left back for their places next season, and if he carries on like that, he'll displace one of them before too long.

At times yes we were stronger but they looked more likely to score... and 0-2 yes was harsh.

Lloydy was immense today I think he had a very good game although I got the jitters when he thought he was a winger and left us wide open at the back on a couple of occasions!
Lee did very well and the earlier flak he took this season from what I saw was unjustified , he is a kid learning his trade!!( like most of them)
What did strike me was Scott `s lack of ability to communicate with his defense and command his area! If he goes in the summer I wont be heartbroken!
Danny G today impressed me with his workrate and willingness to chase lost causes (marvin take note)!
I felt we were too light weight in the creative side of midfield!, someone like TC there and we could have won that!!

One minute I was saying that Loach had made an awful hash of things, the next he had made a great save.

It just about seemed to sum up his season.

Loach has lost his confidence. He's making errors he hadn't really made last season. However, on Talksport today they were talking about him replacing Gomes at Tottenham after he screwed up today...lol...gotta say...that's a bit 'out of the frying pan...' at the mo i'd say...

He always seems to have a bad spell when there is talk of him going....

I wonder if he is as good as he can get..... and that is why he hasn't left..

i don't know...he was better at the end of last season and we were praying he'd stay for just one more...he seems to have slipped a fair bit since then...so i doubt anyone will come in for him. But in Goalkeeping terms, i guess he's still pretty young, so has some time to develop. What worries me is that, at the mo, he seems to be going in the wrong direction...

    I needn't have worried.

In all honesty it was an incredibly poor game of football from both sides in my opinion. The distribution from both goalkeepers and defences was abysmal and the pitch seemed to hamper a lot of the approach play on the ground. I thought Hodson and Doyley were excellent at nullifying Smith and Routledge even though the former was possibly at fault for the first goal. Equally I thought we kept Graham, Sordell and Buckley quiet enough especially Sordell who I expected a bit more from against our slowish back line but maybe playing so many games has caught up with him. The longer it stayed 0-0 the more I thought Watford would nick it but we scored somewhat against the run of play at a crucial time and then settled down to our best football of the day which was fortunate. What was clear is that both teams need some decent investment to have any chance of reaching their respective goals next season.

Best of luck and no doubt our paths shall cross again soon.
