He may be tempted if fit to use Kightly for Forsyth ,and if Beattie is fit he may displace big chris! am hoping Lee keeps his place!
i can see the Kightly swap, though Forsyth is like marmite it seems. I like him...some don't. I think Big Chris should be allowed to carry on playing with Marv now that they seem to have an understanding, but it depends on how Brighton's defence looks i suspect..
I agree with you, if an understanding is forming it should be given a couple more games to improve , which probably wont impress Mr Beattie
Well the first 45 was the most entertaining this season by some distance. The second half among one the more stressful. Most of the team had good games today, battled hard and didn't allow their heads to drop having conceded an equaliser so soon. Dickinson didn't have the best game and seemed to get very angry with a supporter near me who was clearly giving him both barrels. I have some sympathy though as I think Forsyth is a bit of a liability and gives him no protection. Switch that to the right hand side and the fast improving Yeates not only looks far more dangerous in attack but battled back to defend and help out Hodson, MoM award for me. Nosworthy was a rock in defence and also helped organised the players. I still worry about our midfield but if we do bring Eustace back when fit then Bauben has to replace Forsyth as he was a revelation today. Not faultless but showed spark going forward and worked really hard. His positional sense will improve IF given a run in the team. Finally Sordell looked back on form after a bit of a rest and Iwelumo had the best game in a Watford shirt by some distance.
Come on everyone we are building to the next game http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/97650-Match-Thread-Watford-v-Brighton-and-Hove-Albion
Posh fan here congrates for a gutsy display thought you did well I was pretty confident going it at half time just the goal down but your team dug in and stopped us playing all bodes well for you, it showed IMO your players are up for a fight As for us it's the first time I've come away from a game disappointed with our performance but take nothing from your team they did what they needed to do. Tough month for us coming up starting with Saints Tuesday you could be a lot closer to us come December Good luck for the rest of the season apart from your visit to LR....
I'll echoe the above the prince was imperious for us, won both set lpeices for ms goals I think forsyth has to make way unless eustace stays out
I have just got back from the trip and have to say i am still buzzing!!! It was a good show by all and despite the 2 goals conceded i think we can be quite happy with the game. We showed hunger for the cause this time out and did not wait for the ball to come to us, we went after it! I would even go as far as to say we dominated at times. It was good to see that Dyche had changed things up and they paid dividends. Nosworthy looked great and sturdy at the back, i am sure he will fill in for Tiny just nicely. Prince was just the attacking midfielder we needed and seemed to hold the ball up well too. He could have had a goal too which is good on your first start. Big Chris also held the ball up well and might even have run some times too!! The only think that really worries me is that Yeates was not picking up their left back who liked to get forward and was giving him 2/3 yards space to run into. Against a better player we will be in trouble! However, it was a good game in all, we were even awarded and scored a penalty. Shame its the last one for the season. I would give these ratings Loach- 7- Nothing special but a steady performance Dicko- 7- his usual strong game Mapps- 7- I did not see too much of him Nosworthy- 8- great first game, strong and held players off well Hodson- 8- Great game, which surprised me. Forsyth- 6- Looked tired and not much involved Yeates- 6- as above, also delivery was not as good as previous Hogg- 6- sound game Prince-9- MOTM for me and could have scored too Iwelumo-7- other than not scoring probably one of his best games so far Sordell- 9- 2 goals and nearly a 3rd, good to see him back!!
