"This has been the best performance seen from Watford this season." Only worries are the injuries to Abdi and Bassong. The energy and tempo has increased since the new coach has arrived.

Pretty sure it was out, but yes we should have dealt with it. Bit gutted. We deserved all the points tonight with some of the best football since Zola. With two big men up front Forest lumped it quite a bit, but they also used their pace well. Paredes looks a bit suspect as a full back and Murray was invisible most of the time he was on. But otherwise a decent display and yes, Vydra looks almost back to his best. Should have won
Slowly warming up after a cold and windy game... Impressed with some aspects of how the team played, we still look dodgy in defence though. Should have been an easy victory. We must easily have one of the best squads in the division...
Steve Wigley - the Forest assistant admitted it was a "heart in mouth" moment regarding the Vydra going down when through on goal incident.. The ball might have gone out for the 2nd but we still let Burke have a good run and put the ball in too easily I feel. Shame as generally we played well and had a number of chances to be well ahead 1st half. Maybe run out of steam after an hour or so - maybe not helped wuith Abdi having to go off and Ighalo being replaced. FF worked his socks off I thought and Munari really has impressed. Not a bad point but disappointing to through the lead twice.
Excellent game for an hour at least, but a frustrating result. Plus marks for Vydra, Munari, Bassong, FF and Ighalo who looks to be gaining in confidence. Both full backs looked uncertain when confronted with a genuine winger and I thought Gomes might have come for the cross leading to the second goal. Ekstrand is a bit of a weak link at times and while most of the passing was slick some of the cross field passes asked a lot of the receiver. It was good to see movement from players without the ball...that's been lacking sometimes this season. Substitutions...Deeney and Murray...didn't stimulate the team in the way you'd hope. Neither made much impact.
Deeney didnt look match fit, which you would expect, but maybe last night with the match poised at 2-1 wasnt the time to bring him on? However Murray seems to have lost his way. After my early season critisism of Ighalo, I too thought he looked good and has definately grown in confidence. Frustrating result, but a decent performance. Onwards and upwards. COYH
Cheers for the above comments, always good to get an idea of what is going on in the games a bit more than shoddy match reports. How did Assombalonga do on his return to the Vic?
Which, luckily, was about all he did. Nothing last night suggested we got the poor end of the deal and certainly no better than who we have.
Is this commentator trying to prove a point? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x28f4hc_highlights_sport
Yes. I never actually realised that there were no british players in the starting line up. Has this happened before?
Maybe under Zola? Surprised none of the national media who aren't so keen on the Pozzos haven't picked up on it. TBF We made up for the lack of British (and Irish) starters with 6 on the bench - plus Andrews and Cathcart being injured. Just so happens the better players are the overseas guys. I'd expect to see Deeney in the starting line up soon...and maybe Anya.
PS: Gomes is brilliant, I think he might be slightly insane but sitting behind him for the first half was definitely entertaining.
