I was just going o post this. Was re-watching the game and watched the goals over and over again. What a superb first goal and a great time to find his form. Maybe next he can replicate Nick Wrights goal at Wembley.
Something else (very minor, admittedly) that seems to have been overlooked is Anya's touch to bring down the clearance from the penalty save. Absolutely perfect. And perfectly weighted to set him off on his run.
BBW, there was a huge amount of technical skills being shown all over the pitch today. Chalobah who did not shine Friday showed just how good he can be in spells. The man marking on him did not work today.
Don't know if this has already been posted, but I hope you enjoy this link http://www.ibtimes.com/video-watfor...y-goal-keeps-watfords-epl-hopes-alive-1253111
My comforting thought after Thursday was that we could play so much better, and boy did we play better. Thought we should have started with FF, boy was I wrong. Zola got it spot on today. COYH
I was a bit surprised with that as you were very effective at closing him down on Thursday. I would like to say that I have been most impressed with the very good response from Leicester fans after the game today. To lose like that is very tough, but Leicester fans have been excellent - some other clubs supporters could learn a lot from you lot. Thanks.
To be fair, you also changed your system. You didn't play Chalobah in the 'Pirlo' role again. I thought you played Anya and the other winger further up the pitch rather than a wingback. Then you had three flat midfielders rather than one defensive and two attacking.
If Leicester had won with a dubious pen, there would have been lots of us (me included) haveing a right old winge. I had us down to be knocked out, so large slice of play-off final humble pie for me....
Must admit that I was worried when Zola took off Doyley as I wondered if it was the final throw of the dice, and we would regret it. Shows how much I know.
Wow, I'm still stunned. I did tell everyone that would listen I thought that Vydra was coming into a bit of form, whilst not scoring he has in the last couple of games been almost on the end of things. And today, boy did he break his bad run in style. First goal reminded me of Van Basten. Finally their is a clip of 'that minute' on youtube with Jon marks 3CR commentary-bonkers. I'm no techno wizard, so can't add a link, but someone else can I'm sure you'd all enjoy it. COYH
"Number 1 - He's on loan, Number 2 - he's on loan" I was there in the Leicester end tonight (Leicester supporting family members) and what a game it was! Congrats on the Wembley achievement lads. 3rd place always deserves to go up in the Play-offs IMO. Good luck in the Final!
Message from a mate of mine on FB: I was stood in a Sunderland working men's club full of Sunderland fans outraged at the cheap, deceitful penalty who all went utterly berserk at the absolute brilliance, justice and astounding drama. Every single Sunderland fan was applauding Watford. Awesome to watch
yorkie, I'm glad to hear that as my Grandad was born in Sunderland and he watched their 1936 title-winning team but when he moved to Hemel after WWII, he used to go to the Vic occasionally. Didn't see him for about 6 weeks after the 8-0 in 1982!
Something happened here at half-time which made me nervous about the second half. I got a plate out of my kitchen cupboard for youngest to have lunch and lids for casserole dishes fell from the top shelf of that cupboard, one smashed but one of them took jerzeypie's special mug from St Malo out en route, and than shattered a glass that was on the draining board below. I've found this evening that the same incident caused a couple of chips on the side and bottom of my WFC mug.
