Great podcast http://rookery.receptionmedia.com/get.php?web=podcast-2013-05-12-77008.mp3 If you have no one to talk about the match...... listen to this
Good grief... 9.00am next morning and I STILL do not believe what I witnessed yesterday afternoon. Truly astonishing. Lost for words. Just let the 'commentators' do their thang whichever version you listen to. I wonder what the Radio Leicester commentary was like in comparison with the 3CR. Every commentary has been absolutely mental be it the SP match commentary, SSN, the 3CR (they mention their Leicester colleagues) so anyone....???
Amazing!- I'd left my Watford match day mug on the side in the kitchen, my Wife knocked it to the floor & chipped it , she immediately returned to the living room to find we had conceded a penalty! She was a bit relieved that things turned out as they did! Will have to find a new one for next season, and will teach me to tidy up! Still can't believe what we witnessed yesterday, keeping watching the various bits of video in disbelief.
yes guys ... total shock.. and I think if we go up we stand so much more chance than last time with the type of players we are now accessing and Zola's tactics etc.....
I have never experienced anything like those last few moments supporting Watford before - just incredible
Great morning after interview.... http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...e-zola-admits-he-shocked-watfords-rise-197459
1)I walked back through town with an LCFC supporter - cheerful, generous (said it was never a pen) and had good reading of the game. Complete gent. I take my hat off to all LCFC supporters for their behaviour and attitude on what have been heartbreaking. I think we all knew how they must have felt as we had it last Saturday. 2) I sincerely hope a few LUFC supporters read this and learn how to be decent fans. 3) How brilliant of zola and his backroom team to get us up from last saturday, to minimise the damage on Thursday and then produce such a cracker yesterday. 4) It's all meant to be - we go up through t playoffs every seven years! The graciousness of the Leicester fans has been amazing - many thanks guys. On a separate note I was really worried about how the team would react from last week and I did say i worried about twhether they would be mentally ok for it. I can nowew reveal that having eaten them yesterday my words tasted fantastic. Everyone's talking about various incidents yesterday but one thing i really liked was marco cassetti's attitude to the referee. When he got booked he actually shook his hand and when the penalty was given although he did moan a bit he didnlt go absolutely mental at him. In an era where players are being moaned about for their conduct it was really good to see that from someone in a watford shirt.
Marco Cassetti deserves a heap of praise...he's been incredible this season...and yesterday was no exception.
On a match comment note, if the cheat hadn't dived, it would have gone to extra time. Abdi obviously was carrying a knock and Vydra looked exhausted. I couldn't see how we would have survived an extra half hour...so he did us a favour, though i'm not sure my heart would agree! Thanks Leicester fans for being gracious in defeat, it was tough for you to take, obviously....and as was said this morning on the radio, with every immense and elated joy, there is despair. We feel for you. Good luck for next season. (except against us, if it comes to that!)
My mum wanted to give him a huig when the ref gave the penalty as he looked like he was going to burst into tears
What a day. Only just caught my breath now to catch up on all the posts from yesterday. Never seen anything like it. So glad to be there and witness it first hand. Just amazing. For anyone not heard the Jon Marks commentary yet, go and find it-just incredible. Like a Brazilian commentator on something illegal!
There are so many things still to talk about which where forgotton about in the euphoria of the final moments of the match, one of which is the disgusting actions of some of our own stewards. I know they are there to control the crowds but I dont think there was any need for some of them to act like over excited night club bouncers. I was watching on tv and when Deeneys goal went in there were stewards literally rugby tackling our fans to the ground and wrestling them. I know you shouldn't be running on the pitch but emotions were understandably high and I think we can understand the pitch invasion, it was almost a release for many fans and made for some great scenes at the Vic.
It is a Celtic sex act (not the type I could describe to you on a family forum but very popular in Scottish border towns and also the outer hebrides) but it's also what you get when some idiot intends to type hug and inadvertently puts an i in as well.
