After todays match Watfords record is 8 wins 5 draws and 6 defeats with 27 goals scored and 28 lost.
Coventry Cityd travels are 4 draws and 14 defeats and the goals 7:29

Fron the teams statistics we should have won but did not. Another point is good as all the other teams a long way behind also drew or lost.

Talk this week was of being pretty sure we weren't relegated so Britt playing underlined that. Players seemed to treat this as a bit of an end of season game with nothing on it. Then again so did Cov - timewasting at 0-0 and 3 points from safety with 10 to go???

I get the logic of Britt getting games 2RJ, but starting 48 hours after coming back from Braintree?

    Hard to understand today really......

Coventry were there to be beaten, they really weren't good. They had nothing.....almost all their chances came from Nosworthy's rubbish "clearances"...and his misjudging of hoofs which went well over his head.

Assombalonga wasn't up to it today, I think he got thrown in the deep end and it didn't work. I don't think he is like Sean Murray, and it's a harder position to play as a striker, especially when the service was average and the playing surface is really bobbly.....something which we really need to fix for next season.

I think it's important not to beat up on Britt too much. He had a very quiet game, whereas those around him simply had quiet games.

Rubbish game. Coventry were rubbish, we weren't much better. It was scrappy, but the ref and officials were appalling...some of those 'decisions' were completely shocking. How do refs get worse?? You wouldn't think it was possible!

A couple of defensive errors again that should have punished us by rights, but thankfully we got away with them, and their keeper was on fire, which meant that all our attempts came to nothing. A disappointing game, totally uninspiring. Hopefully we'll do better on Tuesday!

This was as dismal a game as I've seen for some time. What was particularly disappointing was that neither side looked capable of lifting the game, by changing the pretty basic tactics that both sides employed. There was effort from Eustace and Deeney, but little to get excited about. Our wide men, Murray particularly seemed to spend much of the game drifting infield. Hogg spent much of the game watching the ball go over his head. Everyone seemed desperate to get rid of the ball as soon as it arrived...I lost count of the number of times the back four and the keeper hoofed the ball aimlessly upfield. It's one thing to do this under pressure but Doyley and Dickinson especially looked like old fashioned rugby players kicking for touch. I wouldn't be too hard on Assombalonga. He's mobile and, as others have said, this perhaps wasn't the best time to introduce him. I'm sure there's better to come. All in all then, one to forget...

I am back from Watford and i am sorry for this essay but i need to vent!

The game itself was a stinker, we played with a lot of heart and bravery despite a ref who clearly bought every dive and trip and feint from the Coventry players. Their players continually fell to the floor as if they had been shot. However, we still kept playing and did not let that stop us, and i think we should have kept it on the floor and just run at them. They clearly knew they could not handle it and came with a game plan to stop it. I think the biggest error we made was Deeney getting caught in 2 minds as to whether he should shoot or lay it off to Murray and another who i could not identify. Despite not getting 3 points i am still confident, Britt had a quiet but ok debut. It was a nice thing to see especially as he was the 50th academy player since it opened.

Now onto the twerps called stewards. As it was my Bday i had arranged for Harry Hornet to give me the drum for a little while during the game. He did this about half way through the 2nd half and i was thoroughly enjoying it. The crowd were the loudest i had seen for a long long time and everyone was smiling. However whilst this was happening about 20 or so kids were gathering in the corners of the Rous and Vicarage road stands and asking Harry to sign their tickets. Harry was happy to oblige as always and the kids loved it, no one was moaning and it was a great atmosphere. However, the "response officer" thought this was too much and asked Harry to move. So he had to take the drum away and move to the SW corner where he apparently sat in the corner after kicking his shoes off and throwing his drum down and muttered to himself. He was understandably annoyed. It was a real shame because it was the best atmosphere at the vic in ages!!

No for once it wasnt. But i was down the front of the Vic road end and could not hear a thing and my friends up the top couldnt either. So i have no idea wtf was happening.

Worst ref by far and worst stewards EVER!!! I am appalled by the actions of the stewards!!!

Thank you H. I just had to call, the text would have been an essay lol.

Andy Thorn is upset Coventry Citys goal was disallowed as the header was perfectly good. Perhaps the header was but the referee blew his whistle before the header happened. I know managers do not see things but now we can add hearing to this.

The goal was disallowed for a push at the near post. However, and i hate to say this, i could not see one! Although, the ref could not see half the fouls committed against us, so maybe i was wrong.
