Will take 0-0, Coventry played well, both teams have their chances, on another day one of the other would have taken them!
Ref spent a lot of time complaining about somebody blowing a whistle in the crowd WAS THAT YOU - BIRTHDAY BOY ???
Poor game ruined by a totally incompetent ref. I think he only blew up once for a foul against their no. 22 - who never attempted to go for the ball once, he just jumped into a Watford player. Very poor...still looking on the bright side, the dirty ones got knocked out of another piss-pot trophy.
Just looked at the non-league table, and it's plausible that they might not even get the opportunity to lose the playoffs this year.
We never win when the kids get in free and the teams change ends before kick-off. Least we managed to turn up in the 2nd half but Mariappa saved us in injury time. TBH It looked like Coventry wanted it more at times but we should have won really. Officials were very poor. Point is better than nothing.
I am not sure what i prefer NNW, the tramps not getting into the play-offs or them bottling in the final again...
I don't take any real joy in building up their hopes to crush them. I'd rather they recognise that however badly they may or may not have been treated in the Football League, what has happened in the last two and a half years is a true reflection of what the players on the park have achieved. It's staggering that a set of fans who five years ago so strongly embraced that a small club punching above its weight is part of football, now expect to be given a league title on a silver platter because they're selling the most tickets. They need to wake up and realise that in every measure other than ticket sales they are currently an average Conference club. The levels of expectation on their team, season after season, is so inflated that even the most talented players in the team will struggle to be that good, even the most determined of professionals will struggle with the pressure. Sorry to focus on them, but other than wondering why Sean choose to play Britt today (and countering that with the fact that his lack of involvement wasn't really his fault), there really were no talking points in today's game. After what happened at White Hart Lane I'm not even in the mood to slag off the ref: Howard Webb might well have saved a player's life today.
